Old house with pretty yard.

So pleased that this home was preserved. I love the fence!

Drove from Reagan airport to Luray VA. Passed lots of fencing like that. Took a pix of another Civil war historical home..the White House (not as in the president's home.)It belonged to a Mennonite minister and was built 1760. I was off hwy 340 heading south from Luray. I am not interested in the historical end of it. The scene was so wonderfully Americana with a cemetary plot along the front of the fence, then a corn field running up to the house and barn and
mountain framing it all.

This is a grand house. Would love to explore the inner parts to feel the past and it's history. Really wonderful puzzle today,

We had a friend who lived in Burkittsville, MD. There are many old Civil War relics, old homes, etc. there. Lots of good stuff for Civil War buffs!
