My backyard neighbor's sunflowers are very tall and are now peeking over the fence into my yard. I enjoy looking at them, but I've heard they strew their seeds and to be aware of that.

The birds do it for them. Our neighbor planted sunflowers in her front yard, and we got a fine crop in our BACK yard...because the birds loved to sit on our back fence to digest their dinners.

I was given some small sunflower bulbs a couple of years ago. When they finished growing, they were 8 feet tall. The birds loved them.

Farmer around the corner plants thousands of them in his field and they are simply gorgeous to see.
