Hello cooks and bakers! What is the red stuff embedded in the frosting between the layers? I made a red velvet cake once, and it was a big hit!

I think it is pieces of broken layer cake, waste not, want not.

I thought it was some kind of jam, but when zoomed in, it does look like the cake layers. What ever it is, I could sure go for a slice.

Good grief, I love today's jigsaw puzzle, however, I seem to have gained 5 pounds just looking at it. Enjoyed the puzzle a lot.
