Don't you just love the wisdom that Dr. Seuss always had in those stories? Great quotes as always, aussie and once again, many thanks.

I love Dr Seuss' poems...they're weird but funny at the same time, like Green Eggs and Ham. Who would think of green eggs?

May 30, 2018
Actually, I have a good friend who used to put green food dye in the eggs to celebrate Dr Seuss' birthday each year when her daughters were small. I don't know if I could eat eggs that are green!!

Really? Green eggs sound disgusting. When is Dr. Seuss' birthday? I am curious.

March 2, 1904.....I just looked it up because I am ashamed that as a retired teacher I had no idea!

Maybe this fox is at a zoo - He looks like he's half asleep - the eye on the right looks open. The eye on the left is closed. Anyone else make this observation?

It would be very odd to find a fox of any age sleeping out in the open like that, or even lying there pretending to sleep. Hope he is in some kind of protected environment. A fox out in the open in the daytime like that would probably be hurt or ill, otherwise.

Probably keeping an eye open just in case!

Carolsapple, I did notice that now that you mentioned it lol. I hadn't seen that his one eye is open. He looks so peaceful until that. Now, he looks like he's wondering why his pictures is being taken. We have red foxes here. They are cute, but of course a wild animal.

We have bear and panther and gators. One day there was a bear running loose in an afflulent area here. Then one day a home owner found a gator in her garage. They've even been on the golf course. Yikes!

Hi Santa, you must have been busy preparing for your run at Christmas time lol - haven't seen you on here lately. Hope the shaking is not caused by something nasty like Parkinsons. There is a saying that getting old is not for whimps and I agree with that one!! Hugs Santa.

I have trouble with shaking hands, also. The diagnosis I got is "essential tremors". I take medication that helps some but not all the time - especially when I am stressed or in a hurry. Hope you find something that helps you.

I agree with the 'old age is not for wimps.' My hand keeps going to sleep.
Santa I hope you are able to find out what causes your hand to shake. Please let us know what the doctor says. You have our prayers.

Two, first off I want to thank you for serving in the military. The soldiers of the Vietnam era were treated horribly here at home. I'm so sorry you went through that.

To Santa and twoofustoo: There is a Parkinson's-like condition that Katharine Hepburn had which, according to an article about her, is a "progressive yet treatable neurological disorder called essential tremor. Ms. Hepburn's was referred to as familial tremor, the inherited form. Each child of a parent with the disease has a 50 percent chance of inheriting a gene that causes it. In other cases, there is no family history.
The disorder, which varies in location and severity, used to be called palsy. The International Essential Tremor Foundation, which offers information and helps search for a cure, says the disease stems from abnormal communication among areas of the brain, including the cerebellum, thalamus and brain stem."
