What a wonderful picture! I would love to see a real life whale in the ocean, and I hope that I will be able to do this before I am called upstairs! What a great puzzle to start the day. I am stuck in a quandary because I am a believer of what people tell me. I had a snow removal company that cleaned my driveway 2 times and then a neighbor came and said that he would take care of it. I thought that was kind and cancelled the professional. I should add that the two times that they did plow my driveway was at 5 am and 10:30 pm. Both times when my neighbors are sleeping. Has the neighbor used his snow blower on my driveway? No, not at all. I did shovel the driveway yesterday before the snow storm hit us and now there is 7 inches of snow out there and, needless to say, snowed in. I will try to shovel a path down to the street so I can walk my little Yorkie, but even that is a bit difficult. So today I see if I can get someone out here, so I can get out of the house. Wish me luck! Have a blessed day and be thankful you don't live in Northern Illinois!!

Nhoward, I've lelarned that it's best to stick with the pros on this type of work. No liability on me and a reliable removal service. Seems like the volunteers almost always let you down - or do such a sloppy job that you wind up trying to clean it up.

Thanks for a glimpse of whale watching! One day while cruising in an Alaskan bay we watched whales --- they knew they were on tourist duty and put on a show! And --- we watched glaciers calve. There is a preliminary cracking sound as the break begins --- and then plunging into the sea --- creating enough wave that we could feel it. A spectacular day!

What a fabulous picture! I loved doing it. New Bedford, MA was the whaling city. I lived across the river from there.
