The flowers placed high makes for better conversation at the table.
You don't have to talk over and around the flowers!

Have my great neices wedding to go to in New York on July 7th, 2018. Shoudl be a fun time. Her parents leave near me and do all kinds of things for me that I can't do. Love that family! Her sister had a big wedding about 10 years ago and her parents have saved money so she can have the same kind of wedding. Smart people!

I remember planning our wedding. Quite pleased at the time with the coordinator and what she said about me. "In all my 30 years in the business, I've never met a bride more prepared and decisive than you!

Ours was do-it-yourself. My parents could only afford $500 so we couldn't book a hall for that. I was still in college and my husband had only just gotten a job after being unemployed the prior year. He had a big family and everyone did something. We had a back yard, covered dish, family entertained reception and every one loved it.
Part of his family is very musical and one of the performers became a part of the Partridge Family Show later on.

I don't want to get any more specific. It would tell you my name. ;-) No I'm not saying I was on the show. No show bus for me. The closest I come is singing in church.

We eloped to Las Vegas and were married at high noon on Valentine's Day at the Candlelight Wedding Chapel, in the garden, by a tiny oriental minister who was so short she could walk under my outstretched arm. Our wedding music was 4 drunks going by in a taxi, singing "Goin' to the Chapel". Everyone said it would never last; after all, it was my 3rd and his 4th marriage, but we've been together for over 35 years now. Sometimes, you have to keep trying until you get it right!

That's a great story, Aknan. My husband and I only knew each other 8 months when we got married so we also have beaten the odds.

Aknan, that is so true about sometimes you have to keep trying. My husband and I married now for 7yrs now. We have similar likes, we both have previous spouses-3. We are both in our 70's (he is 4 yrs older than I) And he and I love each other.

That's the most important thing - the loving each other. Keep it up!
