Wouldn't mind trying one, although I'm really not into sweets. More of a chocolaholic.

Lol, exactly! I guess I'd try it once. I know that other cultures have their own idea of sweets.

Oh how I used to love Turkish Delights they were wonderful. My girlfriend is from Turkey. She used to bring them back when she visited family and friends back in Turkey. Now I am allergic to nuts, to bad. :( Anyone out there been to Turkey?

Hi Chaviylah, Turkish delight is know as Lokum in Turkey. They are sweets in various shapes and sizes. The ones with the most fruit are the most expensive having bits of dates and other dried fruit, covered with nuts and sprinkled with a light powdered sugar to keep them from sticking. The least expensive are mostly gel in various flavors like apple, apricot, with a light amount of nuts and sprinkled with a small amount of sugar. They are quite good, but quite sweet. :) Hope this helps you. :)
