"Never smile at a crocodile, no you can't get friendly with a crocodile, don't be taken in by his friendly skin, he's imagining how well you'd fit within his skin."

Darn I will be singing that all night till I go to bed lol

Good night and God bless. Hugs.

Good advice, too! I never worried much about the alligators here until I saw one go after a human. And I think crocs are more aggressive. Amazing prehistoric survivors, I'm glad they're here but I'll keep my distance thankyouverymuch.

I'm getting there. 68, Ha. I thought that was old but I don't feel like it. I've picked up on some of your ages. I really like reading your stories and getting responses. I had a car accident when I was 40 and am paralyzed from the chest down. Sam and I had only been married 4 years and I had 3 boys and he had one living with him. They were 9 to 16. He is a super guy to stay with me. When the boys got to be the age we were when we got married they thought about it and said he was crazy to marry me with all those kids. He is a great guy.

I missed writing I do puzzles is because I can't do a whole lot. When I was younger I went out in the yard and pulled weeds and spent time with Sam after I was in the wheelchair. But years later it got harder for me to do a lot of things. Sam was still working so I did the laundry and cooked but in 2000 Sam hurt his back and had an operation and had to retire. Everyone said we would kill each other being in the house together all the time but they were wrong. We have had a good marriage for almost 32 years. I still cook some but Sam likes to cook so that is fine. I do laundry and dishes, etc. Life is good.

What an amazing story, becky! Your marriage is how it's supposed to go, supporting each other through thick and thin. You're an inspiration. I'll remember this next time I whine about a sore knee. Thank you for sharing with us.

Thank you aussiesapphire. I feel special with Sam as my husband. I like reading your comments. You always have interesting things to write and the sayings or poems are good. aknan welcomed me when I first started. She said she felt like people never read what she writes. I felt the same way. It's nice to hear from the friends on here.

Beckydent, you are an example of rising above the problems in life and making a great life with what you have. I wish more people, including me, would take that attitude toward life. Blessings to you and your family!

Thank you aussiesapphire, manatee and nhoward for your kind words. Wow.I was surprised of all the comments when I got on tonight. I do appreciate the friendship of all of you. We moved out here for Sam's job. I really can't get out myself to visit. We found a good church and sometimes some of the ladies would visit. Since the covid we haven't been back. I know a lot of people have and got covid like my cousin and her husband. Getting shots and when feel safe we will go back. Going to get started on a puzzle now. Will talk again.

I'm trying to do that crazy alligator. Thinking about how you all wrote me and the one thing I wanted to tell you because I can tell you are church people. When I had my accident someone called Sam to tell him what hospital I was in. No one new the condition I was in. Sam told his son to call my parents that they had just heard about it. We lived in AR and they lived in Kansas. They were very good Christians and I know they started praying and started packing to come to us. Mom told me later that she had a vision of me sitting in a wheelchair. She probably knew before anyone else. Sam nor anyone knew. Even the doctors at that time were just trying to save my life. I died three times. When I finally was going to go to rehab we went to find the doctor. When a nurse went in to tell him I was outside the door he and a bunch of nurses came out to see me. They were so shocked I think that I was even there. We kept in touch with doctor for a long time. The vision is the only thing I can call it was what I wanted to tell you but a few months later we tracked the fire department down that took care of me. They were taking a video. They said when people came back to see them they called it their paycheck. I think it was that. They took me outside to have a picture taken with me. I accidently rolled back into one of the fireman and he jokingly said " I was one of them that helped you "and everyone laughed. It was close to the Forth of July and I think a lot of them went to the same church. It was very rural. Every Forth they all meet there for a meal and invited us so we went. The man that crawled in the car to get me hadn't been there the day we visited the fire station so he made sure he was at the church. OK I'll let you go back to what you were doing.

Beckydent you may not come back again to this one to read comments, but I love hearing that aknan welcomed you when you first came on. aussiesapphire did that for me when I first started a few months ago, it meant so much to me, too. I don't think we could find a more wonderful group of people, it's very special. Hugs to you and thank you for sharing your inspiring story. I loved hearing about your fire department rescuers!

I may have done this before. My list is too long to keep track. My husband just looked at it and said it reminded him of me with that mouth and you all said how lucky I was to have him. Ha. He is that with every one including people he doesn't even know. Everyone calls him crazy but they all like him.

In Florida, at a state park, by a lake, we watched a black spot in the water coming toward us. My husband had an idea what it might be and we put some distance between us and it. Yes, an alligator. We watched it from afar as it came ashore --- and counted our blessings.
