I remember my mother tinting our cream of wheat for holidays - pink for Valentine's Day, green for St. Patrick's Day, etc. She also put holiday stickers on all the food in our lunch boxes - gummed stickers, back before the days of adhesive stickers.

Oh, the stickers you had to lick! I remember - I can still picture the taste of the backing, lol

One of my first cousins, a ballerina, danced with a national ballet company (I can't remember which one) until her career ended when she got arthritis in her knees. :(
I think many of us missed out with "fun" breadfasts like this. Our breadfasts were just put in front of us and were told to "eat it"! However I loved living like we did then--nothing scary like it is now.
It would set everyone off on a better day. Even Dad might enjoy bears for breakfast!
