Nice puzzle! Going out to eat, but will probably bring some things back home. We go to the same place each year and I get to take the left-overs home.

We always have pumpkin pie (both at Thanksgiving and Christmas). I didn't used to like pumpkin pie until I found out a few decades ago how good it is when you start from scratch. I found the best kind of pumpkin for pies and buy one of those, cut, clean and cook it and puree the meat and freeze it in 2 cup bags. When time for the holiday I make up the crust, pour in the thawed pumpkin, bake and - voila - the best pumpkin pie in the world.
