I wonder what kind of flowers are these? Aussiesapphire thinks they're lupines. I don't know - the only time I have seen lupines is in a Monty Python sketch about a highwayman named Dennis Moore who, at first, was stealing lupines from the wealthy and giving them to the poor. He finally started stealing valuables after the poor couple complained about them and claiming that they had made all sorts of dishes from lupines: braised lupines, sauteed lupines, lupine sorbet, etc.
