Hi Corrina. Why the dislike of Sydney? Too crowded?

I have been to Sydney a few times. I guess I am not familiar with the place and just could not find my way round in the city. I must confess I do love Broken Hill a lovely place, but I don't I could live there now that my husband is gone nearly 4 months ago and do have relatives in Adelaide and in the country towns. So, where are you may I ask? Just curious! I prefer Melbourne and I am more comfortable strolling.

We live on the other side of the Hudson River from Albany, NY. We live a block up from a little lake that is pretty but the area itself is fairly poor. Expensive developments have sprung up in the hills around the lake and as properties in the original settlement are sold off, large houses are put up to replace the summer camps that poor people bought years ago and live in year round. We have a small ranch type house. It was always a full time home. I expected the property value to soar with a lakeview and a location so close to the state capitol but value has only gone up on the lakefront properties. We are here 27 years.
I have a friend in New Zealand that I met in my teens when she was in the states for a skating event. I have never been to Australia or NZ but
she often sends photo books that show me what it's like. I bought a photo book of aerial shots all around the coast of Australia. I got out my book to look at Adelaide. It looks a lot like Queens down near Manhattan(NY, NY). Have you been to Mt. Gambier Park or Kangaroo Island? They look fascinating.
I would love to see Tasmania. It reminds me of Nova Scotia which we visited 20 years ago.
With the terrorists targeting American tourists everywhere we won't be making trips an further than Canada.
It was fun talking to you, Corrina.

I'd like to see the furry koalas in person some day, if possible.

I stayed at the large brown coloured hotel in the foreground earlier this year on a visit to Sydney. Unfortunately my room offered a fine view of the motorway rather than Darling Harbour. Lovely city - best seen from the air (a helicopter in my case). You tend to think of Sydney 'harbour' but in fact there are lots of harbours & green open spaces.

Why does it seem the seas are always greener on the other side of the world?

How nice to see a different picture of Sydney, it is usually the opera house, this one says ordinary people and work and play, thank you for it.
I pray that everyone is well and ready for a new day/night, may the Holy Trinity bless you at all times and in all ways be at peace. Blessing on you all.

I was glad to see a different picture of Sydney than the usual one too.
I've been meditating and reading this week about Jesus' appearances after his resurrection. Very interesting and thought provoking.
Bless you, Barbaranne, and all of the C4J staff and puzzlers.
