If this was a daily puzzle surprised I missed it love multi-colored pictures. Well It's Spring here. I mean Summer! The weather continues to be strange here in New England like temperatures hit the nineties briefly then a bounce down to 69 then back to 70 and 80s. If you know anyone looking for other parts of the USA to live try New England: no fires, brief droughts, no hurricanes for several years winter bounces back and forth and rare blizzards. I see weather here like 2 seasons per season. I call New England the New California!

Hi there. Have thought about you, and Chip.
We went to the NC mountains a couple of weeks ago where we had a nice little snow.
We've just recently adopted a lovely dachshund from a rescue shelter and have named him Cole.
Take care. Hugs

Hey trynfindit. Chip and I are doing really good. He went for his yearly shots and is completely heartworm free. He also weighs 25 pounds and the vet is very pleased with his progress. the only problem I have now is he is having accidents on the floor. I don't know if it is jealousy because of my fiance or just doesn't like going out in the cold. Rick and I have been together since Sept. 20 and he and chip are best buddies. So I am trying to figure out the problem. Congratulations on the newest member of your family. I think shelter dogs make the best pets ever. And I love that name you chose for him. Best wishes with your new four-legged "son".

Last week we had an ice storm. The trees were laden with ice and then snow. It was breathtakingly beautiful. However, some yards were full of downed branches and twigs and the trees seriously damaged.

Ice storms make me nervous. I'm always afraid of losing power, especially in the winter.

Fortunately, we have been saved from the ice storms! Stay safe, JAMP124, and I hope you didn't have much damage to any of your trees and/or shrubs. Blessings!

Lilbc77, perhaps a generator would be a good idea.

I live in a townhouse so a generator would not be such a good idea. We rarely lose power so I really shouldn't worry about it, but I do. We have a few days of "wintry mix" coming. Another phrase I'm not fond of.

I feel the exact same way, lilbc77. Stay safe.

Snowy and icy branches at sunset...what a delight of pastel colors. Great to be able to see it without having to be outside freezing to death. Two thumbs up for this one C4J.
When I was display manager for J.C.Penney my favorite decoration was doing the snow branch window. When I first started the back of the window was white and I could shine light from behind a floor board to change the background colors. I think I usually opted for blue. Then the central management decided to modernize and had all the window backgrounds painted black. What a mistake! Every time a kid touched the outside of the windows and left a smear it showed up. I spent more time running outside with windex. That is the only job I ever had that I truly loved. Too bad malls put window decoration out of business. You could do so much more with windows than the interior p.o.p's.
Wishing you have the opportunity to realize some success in your creative efforts.

I always thought that would be a fun job. Growing up I used to love looking at the window decorations when we would go in to the city to shop.

Thanks xyxyxyxx. I hope so. One shopper told me they always got her to come in and look at the dresses. Except for a general format for each window we could do what we wanted and even pick the merchandise we wanted to display. I'm always best if given direction then left alone to accomplish it.

Pretty but glad I don't have to deal with it. 80's yesterday--50's today. This is our winter!

It's true that life brings aggravations, disruptions and complications---but they don't deserve all the time and energy that they try to demand. Remember--You are in command. Shift your focus from the drama to your dreams and feel that stress shrink!
Have a great day!

First winter away from home in '53, I was in N.Carolina. I figured it would be warm. HA! It snowed. Our gals from Hawaii were ecstatic. Our instructor gave us a break so the gals could go outside to actually feel it. Being from Boston, I did not join them...I had seen enough snow in my life. In 1945, we had 141 inches of the stuff.

I love winter! 'Course we don't have to deal with gobs of snow and frozen ground. It's the brutal heat of summer that I truly hate, especially since it runs from April thru Sept.

Really pretty scenery and recall days like this one. Usually 70-80 but today was in the 50's. All of the ppl in town were wearing jackets.
