Thank you aknan, Karen Buglet and Bopitextreme for your prayers. You were right aknan. Just a calcification but didn't get call until May 17. Found your message aknan thinking the worst. Had mammogram on April 26. Long time to wait. Found small lump. Had ultrasound May 12. She said my doctor would call next day. No call. I called May 16th where I had the test and they said they faxed it the same day of ultrasound. Called my doctor and told them I had expected a call. Let her know I was very upset with them. They are so slow there when I call in my medicines. She said doctor would call that day. Didn't get call until next day. He said to keep watch on it for redness, enlargement and some other things but he had woke me up so not sure what else. So happy when I heard calcification. Going to call them and ask for a letter exactly what to watch for. Will ask when to have my next test, etc..Not going to let it get the best of me. Again thank everyone for your prayers. I know they were answered.

So glad to hear you are okay, but oh boy, no gold stars for your doctor and his office. They know people are on pins and needles waiting for test results and that's the best they can do?

Thanks for the heads-up on this post, Karen, and so glad it was something simple! You want to keep watch on the site for any sign of infection and will probably need a mammogram in 6 months. Is there any possibility you can change doctors? To be forgotten when you're almost terrified at test results is inexcuseable!

I agree with aknan, what a shame you hd to go through all that waiting and wondering -- and so unnecessarily! I'm so happy to hearth results though. All best wishes to you!!

I will stay with this doctor for now. We just started going there. It is only 5 miles in a small town instead of going 20 miles one way in the bigger town where most of our other doctors are. He called me the next day after I had talked to him and wanted me to come in soon. I suppose he realized what he had done. He said he would write down every thing I needed to watch for. That's ok with me. I had some other things to talk to him about. Thank everyone for your concerns and prayers. Will keep in touch.

Elijah13, to my way of thinking, even worse than having to carry your cell phone with you is the fact that we are expected to know how to use it. Not just the phone but all the other things it can do! I don't know how many times I have said, "I'm sorry but my phone is smarter than I am." At least at my age they know it was invented after I was born and, though a bit condescending, they are willing to help me.

You are like me. I use my cell phone only when necessary. I love my landline one I also ask many questions when I am using my cell phone.

Having to have a cell phone attached to your body is the biggest drawback to them, in my opinion. I got one simply so my friends could text me. I don't carry a purse & don't always have a pocket, so my cell stays at home and is a large paperweight.
