Took longer than I thought it would. Summer is still here. Now getting our summer thunderstorms all around us--but not in our neighborhood. We seem to be in a donut hole Finally got a little over an inch yesterday.
You know you are in FLORIDA during the summer when the temperature drops below 95 and you feel a little chilly. Still waiting for this kind of weather. Also watching what these hurricanes are doing as they come off Africa! I wish they wouldn't be so generous!
CEN TX got about 10 inches rain in last 7 days and that cold front finally pushed in drop from 80's to 50 overnight. Beats 100 no complaints here.

Meanwhile in bipolar Colorado...Last weekend Temps were in the high 90s and even 100 degrees. On Labor day it was 97 degrees. The next day it SNOWED!!! It was in the 30s for two days, and now it's on the rise again. It will be back up in the 80s by the weekend! Great weather for people who love surprises! I love it!

Having visited there for two weeks and experienced the weather changes I am amazed but not surprised.
When we went to the Black Canyon it was quite hot and we were in shorts. In less than an hour the weather had turned cold and begun to hail.

Denver and the front range are so like Texas in weather lived there for a year in 1998-99 beautiful times.
Although I love the Fall I hate to see summer end. Fall is a short season and winter here is forever. We are in a "sweet spot" as far as bad weather goes. It seems to always miss us so although I wish I could live in the SW I am hesitant to give up this lucky weather spot we are in.
