My family and I LOVED strawberries and grew strawberries in our field. Grandma would make the most delicious strawberry shortcake I ever had.
A farmer and his wife had VERY GOOD strawberry crops and our small town city grew to be the nation's strawberry capital and we would have strawberry festivals for quite a few years until the crops would no longer prove themselves.
Not too hard a puzzle. Makes me hungry. Doing my "dinner" cooking today. Have 8 chicken thigh meals made up. Now have to cover them and put in the freezer. Have ribs in frig but they only need to be cut and placed on a plate. Already cooked.

Long ago, before adequate freezer compartments in refrigerators, we would walk to an ice cream shoppe to get cones. We would always ask my grandfather what kind he would like. "Well, let me see. I think I'll have ---- well, maybe --- ummm --- get me strawberry." It was always strawberry! --- but the ritual was fun!
My grandfather in the summers would stop at a local ice cream place that made their own ice cream and always get lemon crush. Used hard lemon candies crushed up in their ice cream. So good.
