I've been there several times having lived in the UK. You step onto the grounds and you feel the mystery. It's wonderful.

From what I've heard now, it's been so vandalised that folk are no longer welcome to walk up to the stones. It's all roped off and guarded. Sad that the actions of a few spoil it for the rest but then, that is to be expected in this day and age.

Yes that has happened in so many places. I have a picture of myself and my brother on a big rock next to a tree in Wyoming that grew out of the rock. If you look at the site now, you can only SEE the tree. No on can get near it.
Also at the Kennedy Center in DC, shortly after it opened they had to replace all of the Waterford chandeliers in the elevators and elsewhere because folks were stealing crystals from them. They have lesser chandeliers now, except in the ceilings of the opera house and theater. Yes a few jerks can ruin things.

Would have loved to go here. Not in my future now--too much walking. Another place I would have loved to go was Easter Island. Not on my list now either.

I would love to see this in person. I think they are still finding out information about Stonehenge.

Enjoyed this one also and this is the nearest I have been to Stonehenge, usually the case it takes a visitor from another country to show us what we have on our door step, well done whom ever took this snap and thank you team for printing it.
