Long ago and far away when I was a teen we ordered flavored fountain cokes with flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, cherry, etc. I guess that was at dime store or drug store counters. Maybe a drive-in? Last century stuff, eh? Dem wuz the good ol' days!

I love those flavored cokes - some places that have the Coca-Cola 100 flavor machines allow you to create cherry, vanilla, cherry vanilla, lime, orange, lemon, and raspberry flavors - I don't know why they didn't have chocolate (syrup too thick? ).

Gee, Jamie, I didn't know such things existed. I guess I am totally and completely old-fashioned!
Oh well, I've had a good 75 yr-run. I just can't keep up with all of today's stuff!

I've seen these machines in Burger King, Five Guys Burgers, and Mr Goodscents. It's pretty amazing - I'm not sure how they work. Out of one machine and one drink nozzle, you can get Coca-Cola, Coke Zero, and Diet Coke (regular or caffeine-free), regular and diet Dr Pepper, Sprite, Sprite Zero, Powerade, Hi-C, Propel, Fanta, Seagram's Ginger Ale, and probably some more products - and then, for many of them, you can add several flavors. The machine is only about 3 feet by 3 feet and about 6.5 feet tall (about 1 meter and about 2 meters high).

Thank you, Jamie! Appreciate your taking the time to respond.
I think maybe we have a Five Guys in this town, but if so I've never been there. I have never heard of Mr. Goodscents.
I have been to Burger King many times, but only to the drive-through! My education on such stuff sure is limited!

No problem - the next time you're in the BK drive-through, maybe you could get a vanilla coke and have some memories refreshed - and your thirst!

They have those machines at a place called Fuddrucker's.

Im guessing Iced tea with lemon. I prefer my Iced tea without lemon, I always ask for tea without lemon 50% of the time I still get the lemon.

I don't usually drink my soda with lemon, but I knew someone who did.
