I was doing good on timing until I got a phone call from the dentist wanting to change my time to go on Friday. This puzzle looks very good and I'm getting hungry since it's almost dinner time.

Parson--Comfort food is good on a rainy day when you can't go outside & work in your garden. Right? Oh, I must ask you--what do you know about coyotes (sp? ). How high can they jump? We have a 6 ft. backyard fence. Other neighbor has a 5 ft fence & she reports that one coyote got to her goldendoodle dog. Help please!

Coyotes are AMAZING athletes and very smart. Most can clear-jump without touching a 5 foot fence. (As you can see in this photo.) They can jump and get over a 6-7ft fence barely touching it with their paws – we've seen it live, it looks like they are levitating! Sep 19, 2011

Oh bless you Parson Wayne--could save that little mixed spaniel I rescued. Talking to hubby about this, and he remembers when our 135lb Great White Pyrenees stared down a coyote thru our backyard fence--these dogs are trained as guard dogs to protect herds of sheep in Pyrenees Mts (they run betwwen France & Spain) from bears & other large predators. This girl had it in her. Yet with our family, she was a gentle giant. When I got home from the Pharmacy at night, she would come running & we had this routine where she would actually say "MoM" & I repeated it & we did this back & forth at least a dozen times with the kids laughing and then she wanted HER treat.
