Interesting way to have books placed - one group go from left to right and the other goes from right to left. Perhaps one's in English and one's in Arabic or Hebrew.

Good one JamieT. Now we need a stack that goes from top to bottom so the Chinese can have their say.

They could be a encyclopedias. One set on one topic etc. It reminds me of that, with volumes on each topic.

Hi D5T.......lol, I am with you about lightening. When I was about 19 I was in my bedroom and a lightening bolt hit a tree just outside my bedroom window, and have been afraid of it since. I am keep well, had some cementing done around the house and I am busy putting back pots and cleaning white plastic chairs for our front outdoor room, which is my breakfast nook. Love having breakfast out there - it is all enclosed and most people cannot see me who pass by. There are a lot of palm trees across the road and when the traffic dies down, it is so peaceful and a wonderful place to start my day. So glad you enjoy the quotes etc. Hugs.

I'm with you all too, had it hit in the back yard, broke neighbors windows and also blew all the utility meters off the back of our house, & had to replace lots of appliance's and the TV's. If there is lightening in our area I unplug things & also go downstairs.

The Aussies share everything else with the Kiwis - the good and the bad - except for earthquakes.

Is everything OK since the storm? I HOPE NOT MUCH DAMAGE. Mrs. PW grew up in the same church as John Glenn the astronaut and US Senator who died yesterday. She brags about knowing people in high places. lol

Yes, the storm went around us PTL. John Glenn was an amazing human being and he is where most of us wish we could be at times, but patience says me lol. Hugs.

Books! One of the passions of my life, The others being music, clothes and coffee! People have kindles and read things on the computer, but there is nothing like opening up a book and feeling the pages and smelling the print, especially is it is new!

That's how I feel about books, my notebook cratered a few months ago have no interest in replacing, would either go to the library or buy the book. I try to read at least a couple hours every day at least before I go to bed in the evening. Sometimes if it is a good mystery I stay up too late! Have a great day!
