Duh. I know THAT, but nine = IX, and that's not what it looks like on the clock face. Maybe it's just because the numerals are small and hard to really see clearly. Thanks ya'll - have a great day.

Sorry nmmmelody, I enhanced the picture and nine is IX on the clock. Use the magnifing glass at the very top of the puzzle to bring things in more clearly.
The numbers are Roman Numerals. I had to look it up. My parents had clocks like that. It was invented in Rome..I knew the 12 numbers on the clock but it is interest to see al the other ones and how high they went. Just something to do in your spare time. I didn't know they went so high. Check it out.
