Off to the doctor shortly and they may hospitalize me to get the sugar level under control. So if I am missing from here for a short time you will know where I am. Hugs to all of you and will appreciate your prayers.

Aussie--good luck and good care--hope you can spring your self soon. WE NEED YOU! Prayers are spinning a little more slim, but still intense. My dog has cancer, my daughter (26 y/o) is getting divorced and my BFF has also filed for divorce (let's just say she's over 50 y/o).

From a later post, I understand they just increased your insulin. Not good, but better than being hospitalized while they poke and pinch you! My prayers are always yours, dear aussie. Hugs.

Hi folks, yes he increased my insulin and as mentioned earlier am less than impressed. And today's reading is higher than it has ever been. Thank you all for your care, concern and prayers. Don't know what I would do without all of you and this wonderful site. Hugs.

Oh I'm sorry to hear about your dog Bay. True - but they were nervious about her sugar being high. I've been poked 10 times in three days back in january. I then was asleep then this guy comes into my room and turns on the light at 2:00am. He announces he needs blood. Then he says oh the doctor has ordered it.

Unusual looking bird :)

Hello aussiesapphire! I love to read your quotes everyday, sometimes they are inspiriring for me and other times very comforting and still others make me laugh!! You are a very special lady and I feel blessed that even though we will never share a cup of tea, oolong is my favorite, I can always enjoy your company. God bless you :)

Hi mamag, glad you liked them and I must admit I enjoy going through all the quotes to put them on here..I would appreciate your prayers and prayers of others as my blood glucose level has gone out of control and I don't know why. Still taking my meds and insulin and watching my diet, but nothing seems to be working. I am due back to the doctor and my quarterly blood tests and will make an appointment today. I know diabetes is a progressive disease, so it may just have gone on to the next phase. I also know we have a miracle working God who can cure this for me. Take care and God bless. Hugs.

Honeybeez - love your nickname and I love to watch the honey bees dart in and out of my sun jewels (a perennial of the portulaca family) with their little back legs carrying the pollen. It is almost comical sometimes. God bless and lots of hugs to you.

Aussie, My husband's sugar is still out of control also.It has been in over 200 again. The Dr. raised his insulin as his A1c was at 10.8 and that is way too high. He is still on his oxygen full time. I hope you get your sugar under control. It is something that has a mind of its own. God bless and I pray that your sugar goes back down to where it is supposed to be.God is the all the almighty Healer and great Physician He will take care of you. God bless.

Dear mamag, I hope your husband's sugar gets under control. I have been praying for healing for a while now - it would be amazing if I am healed and the insulin is not necessary at all!!!! Have to go back in a week's time to see how things are going. Hugs.

These are a very interesting bird. I never heard of a ptarmigan until I watched reality shows on Alaska. No wonder they are hard to hunt because of the white. Have a blessed day.

The rock ptarmigan is our state bird. They're actually very curious and since they like to stay in groups, fairly easy to hunt. We were in Denali Park having an early breakfast in our car at a favorite pullout and they kept creeping toward the car in the morning darkness. It sounded like they were saying "go 'way, go 'way" as they surrounded us. Unsettling, but a fun memory!

Still painful. Told him to take some Tramadol, pretty potent painkiller. Supposed to go to a Father's Day gathering at a friend's house on Sunday; we'll see if he goes. I will, for sure.

So sorry to hear that - I know how debilitating pain can be, especially in your head. I used t suffer from migraines, but have not had one in years. Just got back from the doctor and he has increased my insulin, which I am less than happy about. I wanted to get off it, not have it increased. Love you heaps. Hugs.

I've been on Tramadol - hubby can't take it. Have been to Alaska as well. We were really concerned about hubby's mother. She takes insulin and then would say that she didn't feel well. Then she wouldn't answer her phone. She suppose to be having a heart related procedure soon I want to go on a trip soon.

When I was in Alaska, I visited the tiny, but official, town of Chicken.
They claimed it got it's name because the miners couldn't spell
"Ptarmigan".
