Used to love to go to places like this. Not any more. Can't do the walking like I used to. Glad I went to all the places I did while I could still do it. Now I can look at my scrapbooks and recall all the good things I did.

Yeah - oh chocolate - have made lots of desserts that are chocolate. Some are so easy a child can do it.

This looks to me like the ruin of a building rather than just a pile of rocks.

Especially with the remains of columns sitting on bases and the millstone standing on its edge just to the right of those columns.

This was hard. Since today is National Chocolate Day in the US, the puzzle should have been about chocolate. My favorite thing of all times.

For the 30th year in a row I did not have a single trick-or-treater so I guess I have to eat the chocolate candy myself. :)

We had 19. For some reason, we never get many. More for me I guess. My sons house had about 400.

Wow, 400! I'd go broke getting that much candy. We had 40 or 50. Love to see the young'uns every year. We see them when they're very young and they come back most every year.

Touch puzzle. If I was younger and healthier, I'd love to visit this. Jordan has been one of the safer nations in the region for quite some time.

I had just read an article about a person using a 3-D printer making copies of famous paintings so the blind could have some idea what the paintings look like.

Fascinating. There used to be a singing group called Petra and loved their music. Wonder if they are still around.

My computer mouse is whistling and try as hard as I can to find out the cause and stop it, nothing works!! How frustrating.

God bless all of you. Hugs.

Aussie I'd have that mouse checked for bad wiring.
Your quote reminds me of a story my husband liked to tell:
There were two boys--one was an optimist the other a pessimist. They put the pessimist in a room of wonderful toys and the optimist in a room of horse manure.
The pessimist sat in a corner of the room with a long face. Asked why he was sad he said, "These toys aren't mine so if I play with them and break one I'll get in big trouble."
The optimist on the other hand began to laugh and dance around. They asked him why and he said< "If there's horse manure it means a horse is around here someplace."

Aussie, I don't think I've ever heard of a computer mouse whistling.

Aussie, I did an internet search to see if there was anything about the problem you're having and didn't find a thing that applies.

I think you should return the mouse.

The mouse problem has something to do with Windows 10, I have also lost my start menu and Microsoft edge. Have had the computer back to the workshop and they said it is a glitch in Windows 10 and I have to wait for an update. And in finding that out they charged me $45 for the privilege. I found a lot of references to the mouse whistling, but nothing works. Wish I had stuck with Windows 8, at least all the bugs were ironed out of that. Hugs.

James, didn't realize I had put it in there twice - put it down to an age/memory thing lol. And no, Mr Sharma didn't contact me lol. Hugs.

Aussie, Petra has been officially retired since 2005, but some members have reunited for concerts. There's also a Classic Petra, described as an inept version of the group, that is still recording.

Aussiesapphire, this belongs in the "I shoulda told you" department. I asked my son, who is an IT guy (repairs computers for a living) if I should go for Win. 10 while it is "free". He said, "No Mom. Every new Windows that comes along has bugs in it. Wait for them to get it all ironed out before you jump in! " So that is my 2 cents worth, whatever, so I am waiting around. I have suffered through Vista, and Windows 7. I am not ready for more changes! What would be worth a change? I have learned over 76 years that "If it ain't broke, why fix it? ". Win. 7 works fine for me.

I think computers should just stop making more advanced models so we can stick with the systems and programs we know. If they would just stop making us buy new stuff every 3-5 years more older people might be encouraged to use them. I have friends and relatives who won't go near the things. Constantly having to upgrade is too much like blackmail.

Aussie, I got to hear Petra again a couple of years ago, maybe 3. They looked as old as I do! LOL! But their blend was as good, and they sang most of the songs I remembered! It was fabulous. But it was just a local gathering, they are no longer famous. :(

We celebrate the 'Ohi Day' (Anniversary of the "No") on October 28 each year. Ochi Day commemorates a. the rejection by Greek dictator Ioannis Metaxas of the ultimatum made by Italian dictator Benito Mussolini on October 28, 1940, b. the Hellenic counterattack against the invading Italian forces at the mountains of Pindus during the Greco-Italian War (1940-1), and c. the Greek Resistance during the Axis occupation ( April 1941- October 1944.
