Native English-speaking people can often grasp the use of puns when words sound a lot alike or rhyme in the use of puns.

Don't get me wrong, PW. I love puns. I'm married to one who uses them all the time. And yes, I'm a native English-speaking person so I do appreciate them. Please don't stop!

I agree with Taffi, PW. Keep up your puns. They may at times go over my head but I still enjoy them.

I couldn't stop using puns if I wanted to. It is such an ingrained habit that I do it without thinking.

I don't watch a lot of TV usually. Mostly news and sports and documentaries and talent shows, Taffi.
I also watch some religious programs.

KNM, if my puns go over your head, try reading them standing up.

I don't watch a lot of TV myself. An occasional cooking show and if I can catch it, there's a program on Animal Planet that I'll watch. That's it. I do have Netflix and catch a few things there.

What a delightful scene. Good place for a picnic and looks as though there might be a river flowing through on the left hand side.

"The cost of living is going up and the chance of living is going down." Flip Wilson

"People don't always need advice. Sometimes all they really need is a hand to hold, an ear to listen, and a heart to understand them." Unknown.

Take care and God bless. Hugs.

Yep very true about a heart to listen. I was thinking like that the am of my surgery. Hubby was giving me advice at the surgery center. I recall Flip Wilson oh he was so funny.

Aussie, looks like Unknown hit it out of the park again! People, especially women, hate for others to give them advice. The best thing you can do for someone is to listen to them long enough for them to figure out their problem by themself. Then they not only have their solution, but they also feel good about themself!

Carolsapple, how did your procedure go? I've been praying for you...

Aww thank you Joyce - it went fine no cancer. At pre-op in his office the doctor discussed a major surgery. The down time is about 6 weeks. We were getting a puppy at about the same time as this procedure. While I was in the pre - op at the surgery center a nurse tells the staff oh she used the restroom this many times. Fibroids which are causing pain for one. I go back for a follow up in a couple weeks. When he finished with the procedure the doctor went out to see hubby and requested he go to a pharmacy to get pain meds and anti nausea meds. I had a sore throat from the tube that was inserted.

I'm so glad it's not cancer! Still, that 6 weeks of recovery can be rough. Be careful with the pain meds. I know from experience how addictive they can be. I have found that I really only need them for a few days after surgery, then I wean myself off slowly.
Did you get that puppy? What kind? Maybe the puppy can help the healing come faster! My prayers are still with you...God bless!

The 6 weeks of recovery is for major surgery. A couple years ago I broke my hand and had surgery. I spent all summer in the cast and at the doctors office. Yes we have the puppy - she's the most adorable sweetest and loving puppy. She's a sheltie. She's getting the hang of being housebroken. Then she was outside and she picked up a leaf and I said drop that and she let it go. She's very noise sensitive and shy to strangers. She kind of looks like Lassie from the tv show but smaller.

Thank you very much. I'm trying to keep myself busy and not think about it. I had problems with my insurance company before the surgery. Then they informed me that they want $996.00 by May 1st. Ugh! good lord!

Contact the hospital (or whoever is asking for the money) and ask if you can make installment payments. They're usually willing to negotiate if you show a willingness to pay them back. Whatever you do, don't just ignore them. They'll send the bills to a collection agency, and they will hound you forever and add on a ridiculous interest to the amount every month! Then when it's up to a mind-boggling amount, they'll take you to court and garnish your wages till it's paid off. (My brother just went through this...)

Hubby went through that several years ago. He was about to go to court. He received a letter saying either go to court or start paying them off. If he had to pay them off he had to start paying a certain amount. Regarding the payment there was an issue with my insurance premium. The surgery center thought I had a high deductable. Still owe lots on another surgery a couple years ago. 3 surgeries in 2 years.

Oh how I love this new puppy! She's the most sweestest adorable little angel. She's going into the vet for a check up. I keep seeing her flip and scratch around her ears.
