I'm certain that there area people riding this train just staring at their phone the whole trip.

Oh, Karen, you are so right. And --- a related issue for me: Husband and wife seated in a restaurant each staring at their phone. No communication between them. My thoughts --- how I would love to be able to talk to my husband
who died 21 years ago.

I've seen that too. What's the point of people getting together when they don't interact with each other. Sorry you no longer have your husband to talk to.
