I have never had this type of candy. I assume it tastes like peppermint? It sure is unusual looking and very pretty.

Hi micki! No, i's not peppermint flavored...I seem to recall it just tasted sugary. The colors might have been just dye, not flavors. But it's been 60 or so years since I had any!

Massachusetts is the home of one of the original (and best) ribbon candy makers. It is Seveigny's. (Pronounced 7e's) I am not sure of the spelling!
It is very thin and very good.
