This surprised me...I really liked the colors and the content in this picture after it was enlarged when the puzzle was finished. This kind of reminded me of the streetcars I rode as a youngster growing up in Michigan.

Sad day for me today. Drove myself to the local shopping centre after four months of not driving and knew on the way home that I was going to have to surrender my license. I have been druiving since 956, so it was quite a wrench for me. Hugs to all of you.

I know how you feel aussie I have had eye problems and not driven for months, now I've had surgery I am just driving a little each day, hoping I can continue. Its a big decision, you had to make. I am thinking of you and saying extra prayers for you. x

Aussie I'm sorry, I know exactly how you feel. The day I had to surrender my license because of my epilepsy was one of my absolutely worst and I hate that you are feeling that way. Try to hang in there I know it is difficult. Be safe and well.

Be brave and courageous in this time for it is wisdom to know ones self enough to know this was a wise decision. Then to have it taken from you by someone else. Hugs and prayers.

I have also been driving since 1956 and still doing it at 84. However I have told my nieces, etc. that if they don't think I should drive anymore, just TAKE MY KEYS! We are always the last to realize something that we can't still do. Wishing you the best Aussie!

I am so sorry my friend. I know that day is coming for me and I am not looking forward to it. I learned to drive when I was 40 because a strict father and a less-than-perfect 1st husband. I love my freedom by being able to drive and I know that I will miss it sooo much when I won't be able to get out and go. I hope you have friends and family that will be there for you. Blessings through our friends to you.

I'm so sorry, aussie. I chose to be without a car for about 10 years because the fibromyalgia made it too painful. I was blessed with a multitude of friends and family who were willing to drive me. May you be equally blessed.

Know how you feel, another bit of freedom surrendered. BUT there is a wonderful world of "delivery" out there and an amazing amount of different ways of getting out. Taxis, Handy dart, a loyal friend, riding carts, start searching for help in these areas. lAnd thank God for each day and see how much He helps. xx

I too surrendered my license of 65 years. It has been 2 1/2 years I have had 6 procedures none have helped enough to return to driving. Pandemic has made it easier to get things delivered. After a time you will think of driving as bothersome. The money you save on maintenance and insurance will cover your rides. Your health insurance may provide rides for all medical. so hugs to you and smile we can still puzzle.

Oh, my dear, what a sad situation, but at least you realized you had a problem. When we can't drive, part of our independence vanishes. Hugs, dear friend - if I were there, I'd gladly drive for you...

I am also sorry Aussie. It takes a lot of courage to admit that it is time to let go. I hope I do as well when my time comes.

I am sorry to hear this. My mom was in her late eighties and would get lost going to church and the hair dressers so she just went back home. Come to find out she had dementia. She never did know or understand. She had friends that helped her. I'm glad you still have a good mind. Enjoy your life and your friends.

Well that was weird. My comment was hearts and nothing else when I posted it, and it did not repeat Aussie's original post. Clearly, the hearts images don't work here! But here they are in text: <3 <3 <3 <3
