Love these red squirrels all we have are big grey tree squirrels ( which I also love ). I think why I like them is because they are different than the ones I usually see. We have a squirrel that lives in the big pine in our yard it teases our 2 dogs, it is so funny to watch. Well I guess that's all for now, you all have a good day and stay safe.

I rented a house in Wales for a year some time ago and there were lots of squirrels in the garden. Some of them were bold enough to take peanuts from my fingers if I sat quietly. One day I left the house in the morning to go to work and one ran up to me and sat directly in my path. Rather amused I returned to the house and returned with a nut which he appropriated and sat to eat. Every day after that I had to remember to bring a nut with me when leaving the house because the cheeky little beast always appeared to demand his breakfast. I really missed him when we moved.......

We too have grey squirrels. I didn't know that they barked until one day when I went out to see whose dog was in our yard. My cat was sitting on the porch looking up. I looked up and there was this squirrel barking at my cat.

What a sweet memory, Terri! You must think of that silly squirrel every time you see a picture of one.

Terri that was a wonderful story. It gave me my first laugh of the day. Would truly love to see Wales, I'm part Welsh. I lived right outside of Frankfurt, Germany for a year many years ago. Lived in apartment so no yard, but lived across the street from a huge park similar to Central Park NYC and an olympic size swimm center on one side. Was a great location. Good memories. Be safe out there.

I live in the Midlands now but we revisit Wales sometimes - it's less than a couple of hours away. Beautiful country. Love weekend breaks in Germany too. I expect you speak German well. My partner has rigged up a satellite dish so that I can watch "Game of Thrones" and "House" in German! Have a great weekend!

Terri aren't satellite dishes great, we have one also. One of the funniest things I saw on t.v. when I lived in Germany was John Wayne speaking in a high pitched German voice. Just did not look or sound right!!!! Of course the movie was dubbed---too funny!!. Don't speak German as well now as I used to, loved the country, learned a lot while I was there. Be safe.

So cute and stocking up for winter.

"If we become uncomfortable in any given moment, we can look at a flower, a pebble in the street or the tire on our car and be grateful. We can gaze at a person in the distance or at a cloud in the sky and be appreciative. We can smile at a stranger, hug someone we know or tidy a disorganized shelf and be thankful for the opportunity. If we choose gratitude, we will be happy! " —Barry Neil Kaufman

"Think of what you have rather than of what you lack. Of the things you have, select the best and then reflect how eagerly you would have sought them if you did not have them." —Marcus Aurelius

Take care and God bless. Hugs.

I have a warm, comfortable house, plenty of food, a reliable vehicle and a loved one to share them with me. I give thanks daily for all of these blessings. Thanks for the Kaufman quote, aussie.

You are welcome Aknan. I have a mouse invasion at the moment, they are coming into the house from outside as it is getting a lot cooler now. They have found my pantry. I had them a few years ago and managed to get rid of them. But the little beggars are back again! Love and hugs to you both.

I used to live in Richmond, VA and my neighborhood had white squirrels. I've never seen them anywhere else.
