Good sun hats, especially for this country.

"Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved." —William Jennings Bryan

. "Encouragement to others is something everyone can give. Somebody needs what you have to give. It may not be your money; it may be your time. It may be your listening ear. It may be your arms to encourage. It may be your smile to uplift. Who knows? " – Joel Osteen

Good night dear friends and God bless. Hugs.

Both good quotes.

I enjoy straw hats. The sun gets quite direct in the summer here in Florida, too, Aussie. I sometimes wear a straw hat, though, as a fashion statement (love those wide brims! ).

Speaking of sun, an old song just popped into my head...You are my sunshine, my only sunshine...

There are a lot of songs that refer to the sun or sunshine, but that oldie is the first one that popped into my head.

Hope your day is warm and sunny!

You make me happy when skies are gray,
Nobody knows dear
How much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away...

Hey, aussie, does Joel Osteen say anything about Jesus?

All the time and his messages are always based on Scripture. I might also add that when my husband suddenly left I wanted to just leave this earth and was all prepared to do it when I happened on Joel Osteen's ministry and that changed my attitude. I know some people don't like him, but I do. Hugs.

Blessings and Hugs Aussie. I like the Joel Osteen quote. I am currently working the high school cafeteria right now. ( I get assigned to different schools in the area) I remember how trying the teen years are so I try to be friendly and encouraging to all the kids that come in my line. Good night and and God bless! :)

I know what you've been through is devastating and if Joel Osteen has been a comfort to you I am truly glad. When a heart has been so broken God is our refuge, our strength and our light. Hugs to you, too.

That first quote sums up my outlook on life that I have had since sixth grade, when I continued reading biographies of famous inventors, thinkers, country leaders, etc. I do not think very many students in that age group are encouraged to learn about great people who shaped the world. Their reading, if they do it at all, involves magic, other worldly imaginings. That is why empty headedness is so common among the students.

Hats for spring! Ohhh, I am so excited! We have had a mild winter here and all of a sudden before spring starts we have snow flurries! Arghh! Still, I look forward to spring hats and dresses!

Beautiful! Hats are nice...on some people!

Lovely hats, perfect for keeping the sun out of one's eye's while gardening. Unless they, like mine, have little holes between the weaves that let the light shine through and into your eyes.

God bless you all.

I think more people should probably wear hats because you really need something to block the sun from the top of your head and face. Not just to prevent sunburn, but also to prevent skin cancer.

Reminds me of the Dr. Seuss book where the guy keeps taking his hat off to the king but a newer, fancier one appears in its place. I wear a hat to paint. It's similar to the ones on the bottom.
Wishing you a safe few days if you are in the path of the snow storm. We are due for it tomorrow.
