Good morning to all. I started this puzzle at about 4am and got so sleepy I had to pause it and didn't get started again until after 9. Totally unlike me to go back to sleep after I have been up after I've been up. Dahlia's were my Mom's favorite flower, she used to grow some that got as big as dinner plates. Beautiful flowers. Everyone be safe.

Guess I'm not awake yet, repeating the phrase " after I've been up " twice, think I need to proof read my posts better. Be safe.

My grandfather raised dinner plate dahlias. Every year the local newspaper would feature pictures of his flowers and of him standing in the middle of his garden. He was 6ft.1in. and the plants were all taller than he was!

Beautiful flowers but hard to grow and maintain.

This quote is for me at the moment " You can't always take matters into your own hands when you are going through a struggle in life. Sometimes you have to put your problems in God hands. You can't fix everything by yourself." Unknown

Take care and God bless. Hugs.

I once saw the really big (dinner plate) dahlias in front of an Asian restaurant. They were truly monster-sized. Too big (in my opinion) to be beautiful; but definitely awesome. I just bought a smaller spider dahlia. It was on sale because past planting time but the root had a shoot with a leaf and I just felt it was trying so hard to live I had to give it a chance. It hasn't bloomed yet but has a bud. Maybe it will flower before frost hits. It has to be lifted then.
Wishing you a Fall where the frost and snow come late.
