Lovely puzzle. Is that a strainer that's hooked through the spout? Kinda looks like one, but seems like it would let small leaf bits through.

On another note, has anyone heard from elijah13? It's been some time since I saw her post and I'm getting worried. She was having back trouble and also her kitty was getting that radioactive thyroid treatment. I hope they are both okay.

I don't think it's a strainer - I think it's simply a seam on the spout. With all the reflections, it's kind of hard to tell.

I think it is the tea holder which is hooked to the end of the spout. :) Hugs.

I think you're right, aussie - mine tea holder hooks on to the top of the teapot, so I wasn't thinking of another way.
