Decided to meet some new people last night so threw myself on the floor and called the ambulance as I could not get up!!! They were very busy so took some time to get to me and only one person was available, so it was a real circus getting me up!!! Not much damage, at least no breaks, but have an extremely sore right arm and a further loss of confidence. I would truly value your prayers at this time. Hugs

Hope you feel better soon. You might need to have someone to check on you daily for your own safety.

We just have to take extra care these days don't we.
We're not in lock down here but we have to wear masks everywhere., and use the QR code on our phone to check in everywhere we go, shopping etc. My son just moved to Sydney the week before the Delta outbreak to get away from Melbourne and now N.S.W. are the hardest hit. (ironically) x

Update on fall - not getting much sleep at night because of the pain in my upper arm but I can sit in my lounge and drift off without the pain, so trying to catnap during the day to make up for the loss at night. It turns out it is due to my newly acquired Paget's disease which I had never heard off before. Apparenmtly only discovered when looking for something else, in my case when I had an ultra sound of my lower spine. It affects the bones and muscles and the latter is where I am having the pain. I had never heard of it and would be interested to hear if anyone one here has had any experience with it. Lotsa hugs.

Paget's (PAJ-its) disease of bone interferes with your body's normal recycling process, in which new bone tissue gradually replaces old bone tissue. Over time, bones can become fragile and misshapen. The pelvis, skull, spine and legs are most commonly affected.

The risk of Paget's disease of bone increases with age and if family members have the disorder. However, for reasons unknown to doctors, the disease has become less common over the past several years and is less severe when it does develop. Complications can include broken bones, hearing loss and pinched nerves in your spine.

Bisphosphonates — the medications used to strengthen bones weakened by osteoporosis — are the mainstay of treatment. Surgery may be necessary if complications occur.

Symptoms
Most people who have Paget's disease of bone have no symptoms. When symptoms occur, the most common complaint is bone pain.

Because this disease causes your body to generate new bone faster than normal, the rapid remodeling produces bone that's less organized and weaker than normal bone, which can lead to bone pain, deformities and fractures.

The disease might affect only one or two areas of your body or might be widespread. Your signs and symptoms, if any, will depend on the affected part of your body.

Pelvis. Paget's disease of bone in the pelvis can cause hip pain.
Skull. An overgrowth of bone in the skull can cause hearing loss or headaches.
Spine. If your spine is affected, nerve roots can become compressed. This can cause pain, tingling and numbness in an arm or leg.
As the bones weaken, they may bend — causing you to become bowlegged. Enlarged and misshapen bones in your legs can put extra stress on nearby joints, which may cause osteoarthritis in your knee or hip.

Talk to your doctor if you have:

Pain in your bones and joints
Tingling and weakness in an extremity
Bone deformities
Unexplained hearing loss, especially if it's only on one side

The catnaps can help, but you really don't get good rest with them. Do hope things ease up for you. Gentle, loving hugs.

H ichibanvic - trying to get a health care plan and I can then get more help at home but was told it will take at least twelve months to 18 months for it to go through. I told the ACAT assessor that I would probably be dead by then!!! I think it is a government plan not to have to help people lol. Hugs.

Hi aussie, I agree, there are people dying while waiting for a healthcare package....can't help thinking it's part of the political plan. I think you just have to keep applying....my Mother always said "Its the squeaky door that gets the oil"
Take care V x

I can picture an artist pick up one of these sticks and make a beautiful piece of art. Loved the colors in this. Sewing and art puzzles are my favorites which is funny because I'm not good at either sewing or art, nor do I like to do either.

I may have said this before but when a puzzle looks medium hard I usually go to 127 Hexagon. Sorted the colors and it took some time but wasn't too hard.
