This looks hard. I can't do it until later, tho. I have to get my singing practice done early today. We have a contractor coming to assess the mold in the attic.
See ya later.

The contractor is here still poking around and taking photos. I didn't do my practice. I'm too angry. The new 21 year old music director finally got back to me about singing a solo and took it upon herself to what I would call "put me in my place." I won't be singing for that church any time soon. I told her how offensive I considered her attitude. The parishioners are the ones to lose out. They wanted me to sing a solo at every Mass.
Of course the official line at the Catholic church is that song is not to be allowed to become a "concert." As a result the only halfway professional music you are apt to hear and that's a maybe, is from the organist who is the only one paid for the job but the music department is given orders by an untrained-in-music bunch of people on the liturgy committee and of course the priest. Sometimes I wish I was born a Protestant!

Just because you were born into a Catholic family does not mean you can never become a Protestant. Or vice-versa. Sing His praises daily, even if only for yourself!

I can see how much this has upset you Pixi and unfortunately sometimes we have to accept the things we don't like. I have found that to be true in my own life and as a result of accepting these things, have found an unexplainable peace and God opens doors which I thought were not possible Hang in there and forgive those who have hurt you. Read you Bible, there is much comfort in the Word of God. Hugs.

That's where it's at nlb. I'm writing hymns these days. It's a very slow process because I am not good on keyboard so figuring out the accompaniment takes a while. Almost finished with my second "album." Once I register it for copyright I'll try and do the hymns on youtube.
If you want to hear two silly songs I sing go to youtube video and call up Ring a Ling Ling It's a Christmas Thing; and Don't Take Away My Daylight Savings Time. Unfortunately I don't have good recording equipment so it's pretty amateurish but you might enjoy the funny artwork with it. On Christmas thing I did the art myself.

I made myself a note to check them out a little later. I am sure they are great.

Doesn't show off my voice--I was trying to sound country and I don't sing country. The lyrics should give a laugh, tho, although you may not agree with what I believe in ring a ling.

That's true to a point, Aussie. I have spent years witing for those doors to open but it has been a paucity of opportunity. You know the song Rose in Spanish Harlem where the lyrics kind of say she found a crack to get a chance to grow. That's how I view myself.

Hi pixi, I tried to find those two songs you mentioned but without success. The Christmas one had lots of clips but couldn't find the daylight saving one at all..Would love to see them, but think I need a little more information. Hugs.

Aussie, the Christmas one is spelt Ringalingling it's a Christmas thing". I had trouble finding it but finally did. The other one I had no trouble finding. It was simply Don't Take Away My daylight Savings Time Hope this helps.

You have to type the whole title--Don't Take Away My Daylight Savings Time. try also new and curious as that is the name of the sit I have on youtube and make sure you ask for video, not music. I have found with Kindle and Youtube they have made it impossible for anyone to stumble across my work by browsing which of course means they buried it.

Thanks nlb. Glad you enjoyed them. If I can manage to someday play the accompaniments to my religous songs I'll sing them and post them. I'm almost done composing my second album. I did write one for guitar--again with a country flavor so it won't really show how I sing. Maybe I should post it, tho. 10 songs already have registered copyright protection. I had a game idea stolen from me when I was teaching music in a Catholic school because I didn't copyright(or is it patent for games? ) it.

This really was a hard puzzle. I don't look at it as I am doing it so I know it takes longer, but I enjoy doing them.

WOW!! Those colors about leap off the page at me, so very pretty. That woke me up! Well I tried not getting on here so early and have been trying to get more sleep, but has not worked so back to the early morning puzzle sessions. Thanks so very much to the C4J staff and all you wonderful people for keeping me company on this sleepness journey I have been on. Please all take care and be safe.

I know what that is like, darambo. Those sleepless times is when I get caught up with all of my computer games! Have a wonderful day, darambo, and take a nap if you need one. I look at it this way, we're older and we deserve the luxury of an nice afternoon nap.

I don't suffer from sleeplessness unless I am in pain, and find that if I take a siesta ( I refuse to call it a nanny nap lol) in the afternoon, then I can stay up later :) Hugs to you darambo and nborchardt.

Thanks nborchardt and aussie for the suggestions. Pain causes me to wake up so when meds start wearing off I awake. This sounds kind of funny but after I have a seizure is when I get my longest and best rest, it's because they totally knock me out usually for several days otherwise I have a serious case of sleep deprivation. Can't stay comfortable between the pain, numbness, burning and tingling...how can you have all of those things at the same time?? The my back surgeon tells me the tingling is from the nerves dying, really good news!! Loved the " nanny nap " aussie got a good laugh about that!! I also turn to my computer during those times...like every night lol! Love and HUGS to you both.Be safe.

192 Tessellation. OMG! What a beautiful puzzle. What did you use for a cut? Hard as H----.
I usually don't let this go on so long and change cuts (2:06:43) but I'm practicing this Tessellation.
More Crystals please!
