This is what I need lots of! With a new computer to pay for very soon--it's been ordered and sidewalk/driveway and house to be painted, I could use some extra money. This was a mystery puzzle.

One of the most necessary coins in US currency. Especially if you are doing laundry or using a vending machine!

Did the puzzle in 4:44. Times like that amuse me.

Lesson: Does everyone know about mintmarks? Under "In God We Trust", there is a letter "P" for Philadelphia Mint, which actually has a great tour where visitors walk above the work area & Ben Franklin is actually buried across the street. "D" stands for Denver Mint. If you want to see paper money being pressed & cut, you'll need to go to Washington DC.There is much security here. Once again, this is a walking tour above work area with bullet proof glass. This is a place where children's imaginations can soar. I remember seeing a woman doing her cutting of $100 sheets just as casual as can be.

Good morning all. I just cleaned all the quarters out of my wallet, had six dollars worth, no wonder my purse was so heavy. Everyone have a wonderful day and stay safe.

There are also mints in San Francisco and West Point with the bullion depository, of course, being in Fort Knox. At one time the mint mark "S" was on coins minted in San Francisco. I am not certain if that is still true.

When I was about 12 my family took a trip to Washington, DC and we went to the mint and saw the bills being stacked and cut. Very interesting.

Yeah when I was about 12 our family took a trip to DC. My sister used to live in DC and worked for ABC. I met all of her co-workers. We went in the spring. Then I went in the fall for Thanksgiving.

I bet they don't give out free samples at the end of the tour like they do at breweries or ice cream manufacturing plants.

Hey Karen--When we were kids, wouldn't it be like a miracle if (on the Q.T.) our parents paid $1 so each of us could receive a BRAND New $1 fresh off the press? I'd treasure it forever!

Yeah! By the way, when they reintroduced the $2.00 bill in 1976, my Mom got each of us kids a first day issue bill with a postage stamp and cancellation mark - I still have mine.

Dear God, I thank You that I can always turn to You.
When I am faced with the difficulties of life, I can put my trust in You.
Thank You that You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." PSALM 46:1

When faced with difficult circumstances we can trust God to be our strength.

Hi folks - I spoke with Lyn today and let her know people were praying for her on here and are interested in her progress. She said she is recovering slowly but is getting a bit better each day and to thank all of you for your interest and prayers - she is very grateful and I think a little incredulous that people who don't even know her care about her.

And I am grateful too - she is a dear friend and while I cannot physically be there for her, I can keep in touch and see how she is doing.

"
Happy moments, praise god. Difficult moments, seek God. Quiet moments, worship God. Painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God." unknown

Thank you dear friends and may God richly bless you. Hugs.

That is great Aussie. We need more good friends like you. I love your quote today. Trynfindit was right when she said God is good all the time.

I'll keep the quarters as the paper money isn't worth that much. Besides I have collected the state quarters and now the Nat. Park ones as a hobby. You can learn a lot about them. Well have a happy week, or month!

Aw, nlb, I got here very late today but I hope your day improved and that your tomorrow(s) have you in better spirits. Two mornings ago there were two young Tufted Titmouse on my bedroom windowsill. They could fly and all but they were still very small. Then, this morning, there were two very young Black-capped Chickadees. The chickadees are one of my favorite birds. It's kinda funny (curious); one day I asked God to send a wren to our yard as we hadn't ever seen one here. After not too long, a wren came and has since made families here. Then I asked Him for a chickadee. I told him I knew they didn't usually come down here (n.e. Fla), but after a short time two chickadees appeared. Same thing happened when I asked him for an Eastern Bluebird. Now the bluebirds nest here. I tell you this because, as I'm sure you know, God wants us to be happy. These little birds give me and my family great joy which is a testament to the love and wonder of our loving God. We praise Him daily. Hugs, and God bless you, too.

Yes, it turned out to be a good day. It wasn't reallly as bad as I made it sound. I really did not feel like doing puzzles but wanted to get to my crafting. Yet if I do not "check in" with you all my day really doesn't go well at all. Thank you for your concern. I finished making an apron out of what was once a scrub top then made a small but very cute handbag of my own creation from what was left of the fabric. In Dec. I will be selling stuff at a Craft Faire for the first time and feel as though I still have much to do before then. My theme is to take the discarded and create something new and beautiful with it. This will be my first attempt to sell what I have made, other than jewelry, and it's a bit scary and exhilerating at the same time. God bless you, trynfindit
