Haven't crocheted in years, and kind of miss it. It gives me great pleasure and pride to see the afghan I made for my daughter, still laying across the back of her couch. Awww.
That was a good two. You made me laugh PW. You have certainly carved a knit(ch) for yourself. Even when I don't jump in I follow the thread of the conversation. Although I sometimes lose it and feel like a basket case.
Guess I've needled you enough. Just keep plying us with your puns.

I think we all miss the Parson's puns. Anybody know how he is?
Used to love to crochet years ago, however my hands don't want to cooperate any more. Made an afghan for my daughter's hope chest in an intricate pattern and she still has it 30 yrs. later and it's still in good condition.
Colors are bright, but I couldn't work with that wide hook. I like the finer steel needles. I have all my Mom's and Grandma's needles. Some are nearly worn through at the neck.
Used to use the fine threads to make runners or doilies with a size 2 needle. Now I can hardly even see the thread or which end of the needle has the hook. Been making crochet stuffed animals for my two youngest grandkids.
I've been picking up crochet again but knit more. I am making some bazaar items so must get back to knitting. And I was given some of those finer steel needles. They are old but so fine. I'd love to be able to make runners and that is my aim with picking up crochet again. Back to knitting for me!

I used to crochet a lot
liked doing baby things
now I crochet a rag ever now and then
trying to use up some of the fabric I've collected over the years so my family don't have so much to unload when i'm not here

I hear you. I have tons of fabric, lace, zippers and thread. Someone unloaded a box of assorted colored cones of it and I bought it for under five dollars then returned half of them and still have more than I could ever use up.
Such an enjoyable puzzle. Those purple crochet hooks look a lot more comfortable to use than the slim ones I used to have. When your hands are old and stiff, every little comfort helps.
Guess I've needled you enough. Just keep plying us with your puns.
Lately, I don't see many people doing either. Maybe they're all doing jigsaw puzzles on C4J!!!!
Hope you all had a lovely yesterday.
