That's a mackerel tabby. You can tell from the M in the forehead. It means if you look down the middle of the cat's back, markings on either side are identical. I know all this as I once had a mackerel tabby. Missy, bless her!

Taffi --- Thank you so much. I noticed the distinctive mark on her forehead, but didn't realize the significance. I don't know a lot about cats as I've only had dogs --- which I love.
Sweet little kitty. We had to put down our 17 year old girl last week. She was a grey tabby and a little thing. People always thought she was still a kitten. She acted like one too, almost to the very end. We miss her.
I have a cat named Tabby but her stripes are not as pronounced. However, my cats love to sit on clothes just out of the dryer. I put them on top of the washing machine and they lay on them.
