They grow so beautifully up here that they're a mainstay in my flower pots, along with pansies. They require little care, just some water.

What is wrong, feisty? Of course we will pray. What should we pray for? It sounds like you have just been told you are dying. I'm sending a general prayer for God to help you right now.

A flower is most content when her petals are about to fall. Praying you may find some of that contentment.

Feisty I thought you were talking about pollen season was about over but not sure when you asked for prayers. Everyone is praying but let us know what is wrong so we know what to pray for.

Beloved Heavenly Father, please lift up fiestyolelady so she may be free of anything and everything that is not of the light of the Christ. Let my call be adjusted to your Holy Will. Amen.

To all who are just now seeing this call for prayer, feisty posted the next day and seemed fine but she still hasn't ssaid what was wrong. Anyway, I'm sure all our prayers helped. After all since God knew you and I were going to pray it's as good as having prayed sooner, right?

These flowers are very pretty. I wonder what they smell like.
My allergies are worse then ever this year with all the pollen from the pine trees. My Mom even asked if I was getting sick on the phone tonight. I told her no its allergies. Was way better in town today then got home in all the pines and have been miserable. Those pines are horrible for a lot of people. Anyone live in the middle of a lot of pines out there?

My backyard has four giant white pines. The TV gave a forecast for a terrible pollen season. So sorry to hear you are suffering, seaview.
Read Feisty's post. She seems in dire need.

My allergies have been pretty bad too. At times, you can see, I guess it's pollen, floating in the air at times.

We have a lot of pines here and there is a yellow pollen they say is from them, which covers everything in a thick layer. That's over now. I just have mild allergies and I don't know if it's to them

I had the same problem with cedars and now with yew bushes. Honestly, these yews smell like cat spray to me, yuck. And this from a person who is not generally allergic. I hope this isn't a summer long thing for you.

Seaview, these flowers are impatiens and they don't have a smell.

If any of our puzzlers live in the south, they live in/near/around pine trees. Their pollen covers everything with a layer of yellow.

Trynfindit those flowers are so pretty that its a shame they don't have a good smell to go with it.
Our pollen is a yellow-green and thick and if your not fighting pollen then its the pitch dropping on everything. Nobody likes to park in the driveway because of pitch so I park in one open area to try and avoid the mess.

There are any number of gorgeous flowers that don't have any scent, among them are hibiscus, petunias, pansies, many (or most) orchids, and many more.

We don't park under trees; we have lots of oaks and they, as well as pines, drip things, as do the birds.

Hi Seaview, Back when I lived in Conn., had lots of pines around us. Very allergic to them, but I've been living in FL for the last 20 some odd years, no allergies to pines. Instead it's the Southern Oak that is a big problem. They were terrible this past March. They were in full bloom. Terrible congestion, coughing mucus, runny eyes; just the worse ever. Glad that has pass. :) It will pass Seaview and the rains will wash it all away. :) Take care.

Hi Trynfindit. Petunias do have a scent. Certain flowers smell at certain times of day and not others.
But you are right that there are many flowers we can't smell. Who knows about th birds and bees, tho. Maybe they "smell" the ones we can't. They have bred the smell out of many rosesto get certain colors and forms. It's a shame but I guess you can't have everything.
