Harder than I thought. Interesting how the inner petals that are emerging look like pitcher plants.
I felt sick all day. Had the bathroom blues. Hope you all had a better day than I did.

Hey Pixipixil, That was me yesterday...felt terrible like I picked up something...felt it coming on for a few days. Couldn't fight it, so just stayed in bed most of the day. Didn't eat much, just drank tea. Hope you are feeling better, rest up and have some nice warm healthy tea. blessing go out your way. Hugs....:) >^-^<

Thanks trynfindit. Today I find out if I have cancer. They did the biopsy in December so I'm hoping the fgact that I wasn't contacted means I don't, but I haven't gotten any results and see the doctor this afternoon. Will let you know. Prayers appreciated!

Pixi, I'm praying hard for you and that the results will be negative. Having just been cured of breast cancer, I know how antsy and concerned you can be. Hugs.

Hi aknan. Thanks for the prayers. After the pain of the procedure and a six week wait I get in and am told the test was inconclusive and the doctor wants to reschedule. I looked on the internet and it seems getting an adequate sample requires taking between 5 and 10 strips off your insides and even then only 70% of those samples were adequate for diagnosis. I am considering skipping the whole thing. It was just a tiny bit of pinkish discharge only once...and no family history. All the visuals were healthy--no polyps, growths or anything. I'll be 74 soon. I think God spoke to me some years ago that I would die when I was 74. I don't plan to spend the last year of my life doing painful and probably useless tests. Will have to ask my GP what he thinks. Such a poor percentage of results for spending 2 hours shaking like an epileptic because I couldn'y get warm thanks to the meds (chemical abortion pills) they give you as a prep and then the pain of being stretched and cut w/o anaesthesia. and a day of diarrhea care of the prep meds some 2 weeks later. I just can't face that again especially if they may come back and say it's still inconclusive. Sorry to ask for more prayers but please pray I make the right choice.

Pixi, I think if more of us listened to our bodies, we'd be happier and healthier. Something is telling you this isn't worth further pain and probing for what is probably a minor problem - a one-off. Follow your heart. Ask your GP for his opinion, but follow your heart. God will lead you to the right decision, regardless of whether He takes you at 74 or at 94! My prayers, always.

Pixipixil, So sorry you had to go through that horrible procedure, only to have it come back inconclusive. You are in my prayers. Please stay strong, don't give up, but do check with other doctors. Hugs to you. Peace and prayers.

Pixi I've also experienced a very slight pinkish discharge a couple of times since I went through menopause (in my early 40s). Examination by GP didn't show anything and I wondered if I was taking too much aspirin (headaches, & taking 1 or 2 tablets at night as it helps me sleep). I cut the aspirin out and the little discharge stopped. That's happened to me twice and both time cutting out the aspirin stopped the discharge. Not saying that's what's going on in your situation, but you might think about any meds you might be taking causing the problem. Hugs and prayers.

Hi Tomandray. I'm okay. I ran my concern past a woman who was head nurse in the hospital system around here and she was unequivocal that I should get a retest and do it soon. She urged a change of doctor. I haven't contacted the other doctor she recommended yet. The one I have has gotten perfect reviews but that's from the patients and only 5 of them. He is very nice personally but I'm more interested in professional expertise so I'll probably switch to the one my friend recommended. She ought to know who is good...moreso than patients. I wish she had agreed with you that I could just skip it.
Thanks for thinking of me. I just sent off a cologard test so I want to see what happens with that. Hope it comes back negative so I won't have to face a colonoscopy also.

Pixipixil, In response to your last note. I too wish you did NOT have to go through that painful procedure again. But that said, your nurse friend may have a better insight on the matter. She has seen much in her years as a nurse; second opinion is a good idea. I wish you much luck, good health and prayers that you get better fast.

I am going into Tampa General 2/13 & 14 for 3 procedures, throat & Esophagus dilation, routine check on the stomach/intestines plus a "papacy" (sp) pill and then a "camera" pill to find out what is wrong with my digestive track. I throw up a lot, have terrible Gurd, food turns to sludge in the stomach then I either throw up or have the runs and there is a blockage in the small intestines (they are not sure where). I have gone through 3 dilatation of the throat & esophagus and 3 colonoscopies in 1 1/2 years.
Wouldn't wish this misery on anybody. :(
Please send prayers for me for tomorrow and Friday. really them. :) >^-^<

Pixi and tomandray, my prayers for both of you - sounds like some very serious medical procedures await you both. pixi, does a 2nd opinion require a retest or can the new doc simply review the results?

Hi aknan...I just finished the forms for having all material including imaging sent to the new doctor. I don't go until the 26th. Will let you and everyone praying for me know what is happening.

Tomandray that is terrible. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. My neighbor almost died of an intestinal blockage so I guess you have no choice but to get these tests. It would seem the best route is an operation at this point. I will be praying for you and will also get my husband on board that you get a reliable answer and the doctors can proceed to heal you.

I missed answering you, trynfindit. Sorry. I'm happy your problem was so easily solved. I don't use aspirin, ibuprofen or any of those derivatives because I have lots of digestive issues so I wish it coud be that easy for me but it can't.

At last I have found this posting so I can tell you what happened with the new doctor. He said I don't need another biopsy and infact with the thinness of my endometrial wall it would be impossible to get one and furthermore it's virtually also impossible that I would develop cancer.
I found this out yesterday and was thanking God and Blessed Mother (I pray to her for all health issues) for answering my prayers---and your prayers for me! So thank you very very much tomandray, trynfindit and aknan for your loving prayers.

Hey Pixipixil, I just wrote to you on the "old cash register" post, but it all disappeared before I could hit Post Reply. I got really ticked. Will writ again, but I need to calm down for a bit. My fingers are "killing" me, Reynard has kicked in again last night...having a difficult day.

Hi Tomandray. Good to hear from you. Sorry about your finger pain. Do any liniments help at all? I find Bengay to be a lifesaver and even like the wintergreen smell but it can be overpowering.

Tomandray and pixi, have y'all tried Absorbine Jr? It comes in a liquid sponge-tipped bottle (has an odor) or as a creamy lotion. Everyone in our family swears by it. (We prefer the lotion, no smell.)

Hi Trynfindit. I remember absorbine. It was a dark green bottle. I wouldn't be surprised if it also is based on oil of wintergreen. It only came as a liquid when I was a kid.

Beautiful.

Have to go to the podiatrist and get my toenails cut. Hard to do. My mother got hers cut so I just called to see if I could do the same thing. Comes out of health plan. Get it done every 10 weeks.

Crazy weather again, 70's yesterday & today, tomorrow in the 30"s and Snow on Wed!

"But once again gain his absolute confidence, and he is a friend for life. He shares your hours of work, of solitude, of melancholy. He spends whole evening on your knee, purring and dozing, content with you silence, spurning for your sake the society of his kind.-Theophile Gautier, Menagerie Intime"

Have a Great Day!

You also. Just got back from shopping for towels to cover furniture because of cats. The other ones were getting shabby looking. My microwave stopped working--then I turned on my TV--not working either. Somehow they are on the same circuit. After calling for microwave repair, discovered that it was the braker so clicked it on and everything worked--thank goodness! Then had to call repair guy and cancel.

Hello Elijah13, CatLadyOKC and JAMP124, Sounds like you all are having an interesting day. Weather sounds bad in OKC. Ours in Weeki was very nice, 70 deg. today.
The podiatrist is one of the drs. I still have to get an appoint. for. Then the dentist. :( I did not know it can come out of the health plan; will have to check with mine. Yup, cats and towels, used to go through a lot of towels with my four girls. So miss them. >^-^< Last week got my new hearing aid mini in silver, this week (today) got my new glasses. It's so nice to be able to hear and see again. :)) Well, that is it for today. May you all have a good night and tomorrow. :) >^-^<
