Peonies definitely don't like heat - you got that one, aussie. They are just starting to bloom up here and will continue into September. Alaska is a large producer of peonies because of the long growing season. Good quotes, today, aussie!

Too hot for peonies here in Florida, too. When we lived in Wisconsin, we had them lining the driveway and I just loved them. That was over 40 years ago and I still miss them.

I love peonies too, and they certainly won't grow here in Florida! Sure wish they could.
What a lovely bouquet. I have three kinds of peonies in my yard but none are the tree type. They are all herbaceous and die to the ground in winter. Two are doubles like the pink one in this photo and I have a bright pink single with golden anthrs like the white one.
