Only thing I don't like about living on water are those rats. Well maybe I would get 15 cats to take care of the problem! Actually I love rats, they make the best pets. Not wild rats.
I had Max & Matilda (white rats) they loved sleeping in a tissue box.
Very entertaining and sweet. I know it's hard to believe but you would have to own one to believe it.

They are truly sweet little animals, playful but loving, too. A friend had one who used to run up my arm and sit on my shoulder when I came to visit.

I guess if you don't like rats you shouldn't visit PaRATy, Brazil.

Aussie, they are very clean little animals. It was rather like having a small kitten on my shoulder. The rat would sit there and groom himself (herself? ) and then groom my hair. Just sweet.

I answered the door once with my sons white mouse on my shoulder and scared the daylights out of one lady. It was unintentional but very funny since I hate door to door religious solicitors. They talk and never shut up until they have completed their total lecture.

What a funny and entertaining thread of thoughts! I love cats, dogs, and rodents also. Chickens too. I had a mouse when I was a kid; she lived two years. My mother celebrated, quietly behind my back, when my little one passed away. I've always wanted a rat but just haven't gotten around to it. So many other animals on my farm, and difficult enough to cover when we travel.

Living on the water and rats? I live in an area where we have huge rats that live in the palm trees. I don't see them but did see one day. I was living with my parents and went bike riding - I saw this huge rat. I freaked! Ugh! Have to go back to the doctor and not looking forward to it.

Funny! I had a mouse when I was a kid. Always wanted to have some pet rats. But I did have a kitty cat named MATILDA! I have chickens, geese, cats, dogs, gators, other things. I try not to mix the small animals near the gators, obviously. Still looking forward to rescuing a 'possum. Had one that didn't survive. He was adorable!

Opossums are often found in the wild in areas that are infested with ticks. They can clear quite a large area if given the opportunity. But they are not suitable for becoming a pet. It might even be illegal to keep one, as it often is to keep raccoons.

He's my fav cartoon character. He knows how to use the bully's own disposition to punish him. Perfect! Did you see the one where he pretends to be Leopold Stokowsky to get even with the opera singer?
To answer your question--just trying to keep afloat.

Why should I keep afloat? Is there going to be a parade?

No, but there's plenty of showboating going on around here.

Yes, I remember that episode very well. He has the Diva hold the note until she turns red then blue. Very funny - unlike a lot of cartoons today with all their violence. At least no one was killed off in them. Them may have been shot or fall off a cliff, but they were back for the next episode. Which reminds me, "Why did the Road Runner's nemesis keep buying from Acme Company? They never worked like promised.

I think Wiley Coyote would be considered "intellectually challenged" today. And, strange to say, these cartoons are considered violent today! Even as children, we knew it was just make believe.

No this call was a woman I used to work for. She wanted me to drive her somewhere for free. Didn't return the call. Now she's bugging a neighbors cleaning woman to get her to drive her.

The water does not look very clean. I would never travel there, as the presence of raw sewage and garbage in the Rio area has been a dangerous problem for many years. The businesses and houses are way too close to the shore. How could there be room for closed septic tanks which are absolutely necessary to shoreline living?

Yep! At first glance one sees what one expects to see. I think we must be in the majority here. Time to pause and reflect, Mr. Twain?
