Wake up, wake up you sleepy heads,
Get up, get out of bed (forget the rest)

Happy Spring every one, even tho their calling for snow in some parts of the USA.
My tulips are up and bushes are blooming.
I had a terrible time waking up this morning. Having a man coming to replace my water heater. It's leaking water, It's right off of my family room with carpeting and I'd have one big mess. Wish someone would bring me a nice cup of hot coffee and a big ol sticky cinnamon roll. Have a good day everyone.
I had two gifts ready for me this morning.....it was my eyes.
God bless you all and have a nice weekend.

Cheerup, cheer up the sun is red.
Live, love; laugh and be happy.
No use talking 'cause now i'm walking thru fields of flowers.
Rain may glisten but still I listen for hours and hours.
I'm just a kid again doing what I did again
Singing a song.
When the red, red robin comes bob, bob, bobbin' along.

I know spring--maybe summer--is here. Up in the high 80's yesterday. Really not ready for summer yet. Had very few cold days this winter.

Thanks funfurnow. The songs from my childhood are all there in my head but the songs I sang for my graduate recital 24 years ago are almost all forgotten.

I admit it...I was the one who called for snow! I love Spring, but we had such a warm Winter that I prayed for one last snow, just to know that it was here! And we really need the water reserve in the mountains so we don't have a water shortage this summer. Okay, now I'm ready for Spring weather for Easter!
The typical Colorado Springtime is rather hit or miss. We can have a beautiful snowstorm one day, and sun-bathing weather the next. It's never boring here! Thank you God!!

Where in CO are you? Some years ago we visited-
Idaho Springs/Denver; Manitou Springs: Monarch; Black Canyon; Crested Butte; Salida; Lake Dillon (via Leadville). I remember how changeable the weather in the mountains was. Shorts one minute and hale/snow the next. Wild stuff. I loved it there
and it took 6 months b4 anything where I live looked at all pretty. By comparison this place is nothing.

I live in Aurora, a suburb on the east side of Denver. We are in the southeast side of town (I call it Saudi Aurora because we live way out away from everything.) I grew up in Colorado Springs and it's a beautiful place to live. I've been to all the places you mentioned, so I know what you're talking about! There are so many places in CO I haven't seen yet...why is it when you live in a great place you never get out to see what's all around you? Vacations are spent going out of state to visit relatives. We need to open our eyes and see the beauty all around us!

I long for a home where the neighbors are at least a football field away and I can sit at a window or on a deck and see some kind of lovely landscape. We have been lucky to always be near water--riverside, stream and a keyhole view of a walking-distance lake--better view in winter when th trees are bare. I thought surely our house value would eventually soar but it has been plummeting instead, so I have to try and see the bright side. You can always say--look at all the refugees and homeless. There's always somebody worse off than you are. Unfortunately it makes me angrier to have a guilt trip for wishing for something I had looked forward to for years and now won't have.

The like button is at the top of comments, on level with the scores. Hope that helps and you find it.

Barbaranne, this like button is for facebook. Once you click on it, they'll put their info on your page and say you "liked" it. It lets people know what you like. And it may lead others to this site, which I hope for. I never noticed it either until I read your post today. Thanks for pointing it out.

Hummm........wonder what happened to the person that owned the bike?

I had to enlarge this quite a few times in order to make out the bike. I could see something, but just couldn't tell exactly what it was. Perhaps the bike rider is also the photographer.

That was my thought, too, JamieT, the bike rider and the photographer are one.

Or....the bike rider got lost (on foot)chasing a rare butterfly and this is a view from the search plane when family called to say he/she was missing. Any other thoughts.
