I'm a basket case today...Crickett passed early this morning in his sleep. He was 19 yrs. old. Give the girls ear rubs for us.

I'm so sorry about Crickett. Hopefully he didn't suffer. Was anything wrong or just age. I have to bring my "fat" one Blu to the vet at the end of the month. Hard for me to get her and her cage in the car, but one of the vet personnel goes to my car and gets her and brings her back at the end. I will pat my "girls" for you.

Just old age, he just went to sleep & didn't wake up. He was mainly Maine Coon. Hubby says this is the last pet, but will see about that. He has been going down for a while but vet said he is not in pain so let him do what he want to do....

I am sure you will get another kitty. You will WIN! I petted my girls for you. 2 of mine are in the window now. Don't know where Blu is. Have had my plumber here today installing a water softener so she is in hiding! Have a good day and just realize that he didn't suffer. You can be thankful for that!

A very happy birthday day to you, aussiesapphire, and a late happy anniversary hug.
Hubby brought four 20 lb. hubbard squashes home that some guy gave him for welding a part back together for his backhoe. Figure the backhoe must be used to move the squash around!! So with the roasting and freezing plus doing up 24 packs of green beans and cooking down tons of tomatoes(from my four plants) for marinara sauce I ended up very behind on the jigsaw puzzles. Anyway, told hubby to take cash after this or a good bottle of wine!!
My birthday is on Sept. 22--will be 73. I love sapphires. My mother's birthstone was opals so I gave her an Australian opal necklace for her 60th birthday.
I would love to go to your neck of the woods someday.
Meanwhile a long distant hug and have a happy day.

Justine, I am 74 so about a year and 10 days your senior lol. I love opals too and on ebay you can buy what is called fire opals in earrings and necklaces and I have acquired a few as they are quite inexpensive. Thank you for your wishes. Hugs.

Thank you all so much. It is my daughter's birthday. I sent her a card and also one to my grandson whose birthday is 20th and I held out a faint hope that she would contact me. Been over two years now and it makes me very sad. Hugs.

I'm late getting this puzzle, but enjoyed the comments. My daddy's B'day was the 15th of sept. He passed away on the 12th and was buried on his B'day. My mother's name was Opal so daddy always said he married his birthstone.

I have a new "love" now--as silly as a TV show love can be. I like "Blue Bloods". It is about a family of cops in New York with Tom Selleck, no less! I also love to hear Sinatra sing New York New York--tho' the city is a zillion miles from me and I've never been there.

Starrphyre - I have been in love with Tom Selleck since his Magnum PI series and we did get the Blue Bloods out from the library. Great series, and these series seem to end all too soon. Hugs.
Great mystery puzzle - since I finally got it done. I always forget "pause" when I am interrupted by a phone call or whatever. New York must be fabulous, but I'm afraid it is at the bottom of my bucket list. I think it would overwhelm me, a country mouse.
