What a beautiful little bird.

Prayer does not change God, but it changes him who prays. ~Søren Kierkegaard

The value of consistent prayer is not that He will hear us, but that we will hear Him. ~William McGill

I will be in need of your prayer support in the next few weeks.

You are such a wonderful group of people and I do thank you all. It will be a year in a few weeks since my husband left and the 8th September would have been our fourth wedding anniversary. And in the middle of it all I pass another milestone and cannot help but ask myself where has that 76 years gone. The years so swiftly pass. Special hugs to all of you. I know this will sound a bit dotty, but please pray for my husband that he will find whatever it is he is looking for.

Aussie..you have this witch's prayer that the Universe grant you what you seek and or need to be happy, safe and well. That your ex find what he needs also for his own happiness. May neither of you maintain any sadness or grief..but instead, each find the inner happiness that you need to continue on your own roads to inner peace. May age not block you from again achieving that happiness which you seek and need. Should you choose to wish for another to find that happiness with..May the Universe grant that they should find you soon, and make themself known to you. And let not your eyes be blind to what they may offer should they reveal themself to you. This is my prayer for you. Blessed Be.

Aussie, I will pray for your husband as he needs prayers also. I pray that God will lead him in the right direction and for you to be strong. God has blessed you in so many ways. Sometimes we forget the good things as we get too busy looking at the negative. Look up when you are feeling down. Look around at the things God has blessed you with. I would start by thanking God you have lived over 70 years and He is still not done with you yet.
Love you and God bless you in all you do.

Although it is September 7th here in the States, it will be September 8th when you awaken. I pray that you will have some peace on this, your 4th Anniversary. My first wife left me in 1974 with 4 children to care for. I thought it was the end of the line for me. Little did I know that God had someone else whom I met 2 years later who was also struggling to care for her 5 children. We dated for 2 years before we blended her 5 with my 4. We had to keep putting them back in the blender because they did not want to be blended. Today that are a large blended family of 9 children, 17 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren [soon to be 13 GGC]. When all the family gets together for one of the holidays, it is a loud and joyful time.

God has blessed me with some amazingly wonderful friends and I really woke this morning thinking it is just another day. I also know that Karl gave me three of the happiest years of my life and I praise God for that. It would not have happened had I not met and married him. So I have a lot to be grateful for, especially my friends on here. Thank you PW, trynfindit and aknan and all those who have supported me in prayer. My birthday is on Monday (12th) and I am having coffee and pavlova with a friend tomorrow, lunch with my sister on Monday and coffee and cake with another friend on Tuesday, lunch with some Italian friends of mine on Wednesday (her birthday is Tuesday)(who cares about my sugar level lol), so it is all good. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. God bless you heaps. Hugs.

Aussie, your birthday outings sound wonderful. It reminds me of a story I heard once...

A lady was very down and out, feeling as though no one cared about her. That day, a dozen red roses were delivered to her. She couldn't figure out who had sent them. She told one friend about the roses being delivered and mentioned all of the names she'd thought of who might have sent them. After hearing all of the names the friend said, lovingly, it sounds to me like you've got quite a few people who care about you.

I know about being left. My husband left me the 28th of December 2008 for another woman who already had children. We tried but it wasn't happening. He wasn't very nice to me anyway. He doesn't even have the kindness to divorce me and took more money than was in the bank. I've not had any money so I couldn't even divorce him. He told me we were going out for dinner the day he left. I went to the pharmacy with my mom for her medicine and came home to a note saying he wanted a divorce and was not coming back. We were living with my parents cause he wouldn't stay employed long enough to support us and of course I wasn't allowed to work. My father had died the year before. I now help take care of my mom and I wouldn't trade this time with her. A lot of people don't understand what goes in to being a caregiver, daughter, friend and at times nurse. Just so you know aussie I know what its like to be walked out on. Our hearts will always care, that's just how we are. ParsonWayne you are truly blessed and a very good man! God Bless you both!! :-) It's very nice to meet good people.

Puzzlelover20, I'm so sorry you went through such a rough time with your husband. I know what you mean about not trading the time you spend with your mom though. My father passed away in 1986 and when my mom began failing I went to her home (she lived in a retirement home) and took care of her. After having had a rough time ourselves during my childhood Mom and I forged a very good and very welcomed relationship. One day in 2002 we were talking about my dad and she burst into tears. I held her as she sobbed and she told me that's the first time since he died that she'd cried. I was very touched and honored that she chose me to open up to. She passed away on Dec 20th of that year. We refer to the date she passed as "Angel Day."

Hi puzzlelover, so sad to hear you had to go through this heartbreak and I do appreciate your sharing. We never know what another's story is and what they have endured and isn't it nice to know we have a loving Father who knows it all and sees the big picture. I look at it this way, there must have been something in my future that I could not have handled and I am being led on that path that is mine alone. That is a comfort. Take care and God bless. Hugs.

My time with my mom was made even more special to me when, a few years after she died, I discovered what had very probably caused the animosity she always seemed to have toward me as a child. It made me see what a very difficult path she was put in during my growing up and gave me a respect for her I'd not had up to that point.

PW - left this message for you on the chilli puzzle, not sure if you got it.

Hi PW, it is always colder in NZ than here. The distance from Brisbane (near where I live) to Wellington is 2, 507 kms or 1558 miles. There are a couple of kiwis on here (endearing term for those living in New Zealand) who would be more familiar with what is happening there, their flag is the same as ours only the southern cross (stars) are red. I think one's nickname is Jiggler. Also you can check out current weather for wherever your friends are going on this website http://m.metservice.com/ - hope this helps. It is a very pretty country not unlike parts of Canada. My father was from there, Mum was from here and they just happened to be over there when I was born. They came back to Australia when I was 18 months old. I went over there when I was 19 to meet my father's side of the family. Hugs.
