I had something similar. It was called a portable typewriter. Small, attached in a carrying case. You could use it in the case, but I preferred to take it out and put it on my desk. We got through college together!!
Hey JAMP124! It's good to see that your still on here. I remember using a typewriter too. I got ink on my hands changing the typewriter ribbon. Those were the days. lol
I also had one in college and still have it. It is very handy. Always keep it in the case. It was a little different as the letter l was used for the number one.
Learned to type on Mom's old portable Royal. She bought it in the early 40s when she went to secretarial school. Was a great, reliable typewriter and it was used into the 70s when parts became very hard to find.
I loved my typewriters, all three. First typewriter was a old high keys and heavy as all get out. Second one was used by mother to finish her high school requirement at 45 years old. And a word processor that I like to forget about. It was always needing adjustments of some sort. Great puzzle and good memories.
Typewriters are old compared to all the new types of electronics that were uses decades ago.
Enjoyed working the jigsaw puzzle. How very neat the table is.
