A wonderful restaurant (in bygone years) always served a wrapped mint with your check. If you were smart enough to enjoy it right away, it eased the "too full" feeling --- almost instantly! Try it!
I'm not partial to mint ice cream, as I think it is "heavy" on the mint!
Unlike the other commentors I can't stand mint ice cream, much less adulterating it with chocolate. However, the strange thing is that I DO like York Peppermint Patties, and hard peppermint candy (as long as it doesn't have overpowering mint), like candy canes and especially peppermint puffs. Peppermint candy is soothing when you have a sore throat. Maybe the mint ice cream thing is more of a visual thing.
