It LOOKS easy to walk up, but I don't think it would be, nevertheless.

But the puzzle was still FUN to do!!!!!

Hundreds, if not a thousand, years ago. And, I do believe this is part of the Mayan ruins in Mexico. Guatemala and Honduras, also, have Mayan ruins, but the ruins in these countries are all in the jungle. When I lived in Honduras I got to go to Santa Rosa de Copan which was one of the large Mayan centers in Central America. It was amazing to see how huge these structures were and realize that there were no huge machines that built these....all human energy. They are beautiful and there is a peace in that area that reminded me of a place of worship. A very humbling experience. Have a great day JAMP!

I, too, believe that the Mayan temples served to draw the people of the area to these spiritual centers. My mother vacationed in Belize back in the early 90's. She felt that the temples were religiously inspired. There is no way I would have ever gone into the jungle to visit one. The huge snakes in the trees, alligators, and jaguars are terrifying. Even the iguanas and banana rats in town scare me.

My brother has a winter home in Belize. The Mayan ruins are a significant tourist draw there. It was quite an advanced civilization in it's day.

Great picture of, I believe, the great pyramid in Mexico. I can't spell the name of the Mayan center there, so I won't insult the Mayans by spelling is soooo wrong. When I lived in Honduras, I got to see the Mayan ruins in the jungle close to the village of Santa Rosa de Copan. Beautiful place and so peaceful; it was like being jn a beautiful church. Love the puzzle!! Blessings to all of you and have, of course, a very blessed day!!

Well, Saturday was my husband's 65th birthday. To help keep my mind occupied, my sisters and I decided to hold a yard sale. Needless to say, no of us had sunscreen so I got a real nice sunburn on my face and chest. I thought about him all day long. I made it to church yesterday and it was a great sermon on prophecies of Jesus' life. I saw this Mayan temple and it reminded me of the temples in Jerusalem for some odd reason. Have a blessed and safe week.

Looks like it was built in Mexico or South America somewhere.
