Weird looking toys. The only toys I buy now are for my little beagle Chip. The final adoption will be on Jan. 6th. He is the sweetest thing ever. I noticed that I don't feel as stressed or anxious since I got him. Have a blessed and safe weekend out there.

I thought those toys were really weird, also, mamag. How wonderful that you found a dog that fits you well and wonderful for the dog that he's found his forever home! Blessings to both of you!

You can't help thinking the world must be okay when you see the playfulness and innocence of kittens and puppies.
Good luck with Chip. I almost got a beagle once but my husband talked me into looking at another shelter first and when we got back someone else had adopted him. Oh well. Wasn't meant to be.
Beagles are so cute.

Not only are those toys weird mamag15, they are also dangerous to small children. I am glad you have adopted a dog. I have a yorkie named Toby. He brings me such joy and comfort. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I'm so glad you and Chip have each other! I love dogs, too.

Mamag I'm SO happy you found a sweet fur-baby. Dogs do help with stress and ours, as I'm sure so many others, brings smiles and laughs each day. A wonderful Christmas present for yourself. Hugs.

Blessings to you, mamag15! I am glad it worked out for you to get your beagle! I found that getting my dog was the best thing for my depression. Worked better than any of the meds I tried! May you have a long and blessed life together.

Thank ya'll for the positive words of comfort and care. Chip and I have a lot of work to do together as I start training him to be obedient. Hopefully, he will be easier than my husband. LOL. I never could get him completely trained.

Husbands are REALLY hard to train. That's why I am divorced. - More than once!

Nlbuchanan, I don't see myself as ever getting married again. I don't think I could handle the pain.

I hear you, mamag15. It is so hard to lose someone you love.I expect these holidays are especially hard. The first without him. May God bless and comfort you.

Thank you nlbuchanan. I am spending the day with my sister and her boyfriend. I wish my daughter could join us but she won't. May you have a blessed Christmas

Sounds like a win/win situation. He makes you less stressed, & you give him the love to grow & be happy. Is there anything more wonderful. I'm happy you two found each other.

A mystery today
my daughter buys toys for her grand dog
he sure makes a mess tearing them up

I don't think I would or could give these as toys to kids??? Looks like some of the things you could use for cats and dogs--especially the combs. If I were a kid I wouldn't like these kind of toys.

It's not what's under the tree that matters. It's who's gathered around it. Merry Christmas!

I'm not sure what a cat or dog would make of the toy eggplant on the right. Come to think of it, I'm not sure what a child would make of it, either.

The green spring in the middle is definitely a cat toy - cats love them. Also the green and yellow ball. If you increase the picture size you can even see a little paw print cut out of the plastic. It probably has a jingle bell inside. Cats love those too.

Having an 11 year old Great granddaughter helps me remember some of these toys. (Seems like only a year or so since she played with some of them.) The comb and brush would be for the smaller dolls. And, of course, the screw driver is recognizable as a tool to teach the fine motor skills to a young one. Leggos has many special parts now, not just the usual blocks so items with the "prickly" looking edges might go to one of those sets. The veggies to a play kitchen. The thing that looks like an awl would go into a wooden block to fit the right shape into the right hole - again teaching fine motor skills as well as shape recognition. I could go on but I think this is enough of this! God bless you all.

VERY FUN with VIBRANT colors. The 164-piece CIRCLE puzzle took me only 33 minutes and 36 minutes.

Unusual, there is nothing here I would have given my kids to play with, but the colors are nice!

Wow..where did they find all these things? Only saw one or two toys that were recognizable. Fun puzzle to put together, but not the easiest one that I've done lately.

I thought the same thing too micki. There were some toys that were recognizable to me and the rest were not.

That's quite a variety of objects! It must have been fun gathering them!
