How beautiful - looks like a lovely place to be on a hot summer's day. Anyone here from Kentucky.

We have had some strange weather lately. About a week ago it was so hot I put my air conditioner on when I went to bed. Today I have been wearing warm clothes again!!!

Good night and God bless.

I had to chuckle with the one about all of us living with them. Try living with 8 kids, 7 of whom were teenagers at the same time. Yep, and I'm still HERE. LOL It would be a mega-novel.

We ran 20 degrees above normal for 3 weeks, then plunged to 20 below normal. It is hovering on freezing here.

And A/C here last night, we had quite a warm day and my little steel frame house gets quite hot even though I have had it insulated. The sound of the A/C also lulls me to sleep. So has a dual purpose. Hugs rahrah.

I keep my radio on 24/7, as it helps calm me down as well. I have it on a Christian station, so I go to sleep and wake up hearing and thinking about positive, uplifting songs or talk. Bear hugs to you, sweet Aussie.

You were one busy lady! Congratulations on your hi fi system, sounds like a good deal. I haven't even started shopping yet for Christmas. I have to wait until my last check of the year comes in. I usually do start around September, but this year has been a rough one, illness, hospital, etc. That's life, though. "Whether I abase or abound" I will continue to praise our Lord, in whom all blessings flow. Hugs, dear lady.

Beautiful sentiments rahrah. I do home scanning for the Neilsen poll people for which I am awarded points so it does not affect my pension. Then you cash the points in for gifts or gift cards and I had two at $50 and this paid for my mini hifi. Just putting it together this morning and installing it. Has some new fangled things on it, so should be fun lol. Hugs back to you rahrah. I think your icon is for Texas and I lived in Houston for a year and a half many moons ago.

Arizona here, but I lived in El Paso many moons ago and went to Business College there. Couldn't stay away from Arizona for long tho. It's been home to me since I was 2. I've been doing some surveys, but they don't pay much at all. Would I just go to the Neilsen website to find out about home scanning?

Good for you rahrah - I have really enjoyed my time with them and they really look after you. They supply you with a scanner for the job and once I dropped mine in the dish water and had a hissy fit because I thought I would have to replace it, but they just sent me another one and said to send the old one back to them in the envelope provided. The bunch I come under are based in New Zealand. Hugs.

I've enjoyed this one a few times, I just keep coming back to it. Does anyone else enjoy one puzzle so much that they return to it often?

Certainly. We used to do the same puzzle repeatedly as kids, trying to "learn" it.

I was challenged once to do a puzzle with the picture side down. I did it, but it took me a long, long time! lol We use to work puzzles over and over too. My mom would work the HUGE puzzles. I use to work the 500-1500 pieces, but can't do that anymore. 300 is now my limit, and 100 is a lot more enjoyable for me.
