"My love for ice cream emerged at an early age - and has never left! " Ginger Rogers

I know how she feels.

"Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." Marcel Proust

I told my husband (KC) that a couple of people on here were calling him Mr Aussie lol. He thought it was funny and so did I, especially when he is an American lol, perhaps he should be called Mr Americaus lol He is still not well - thinks he picked up a bug when he was visiting me in the hospital.

God bless all of you. Take care. Hugs.

You would think that bugs in hospital ought to be sterile, with all the so called cleaning that goes on
Sorry that he as picked up a bug and not feeling well, tell him the next time he sees a bug either not to pick it up or dodge it lol!!

I like your hubby - sounds like he has a great sense of humor! Perhaps it'll help with his healing. Prayers for a good life for both of you.

I always did like Aunt Ginger! (Just kidding) But I do love ice cream. It always reminds me of my Dad. When he was in his last days he stopped eating or drinking completely. The last night he could speak, he whispered to me, "Did you have any of that ice cream? That sure was good ice cream..." (in a deep Texas drawl, of course! ) I asked him if he wanted some ice cream and he acted like an excited child! (He had Alzheimer's.) I told his nurse and she jumped up and down that he would eat anything! She got him a big bowl with 3 large scoops of ice cream, and I fed it to him. I couldn't spoon it in fast enough! We even tried to mix some of his pills in with it, but he would eat the ice cream and spit out the pills! That was his last meal. He passed away a few days later, but he went happily...Sweet memories.

By the way, I think Mr Americaus sent some of his bugs through the computer! No, my husband brought them home from the office, from a co-worker, from his kids. Then he lovingly share them with me. Now we're both too sick to get to meet our new! I'm even losing my voice. But I can type!! Right?

God bless!

Thank you all for giving me a giggle this morning. You are all so wonderful. And Joyce I can imagine how frustrating it is for you not to be able to see your new grandbaby. Sometimes it is oh so hard to be patient. Hugs.
