Happy St. Patty's Day 2024. The daily puzzle kept freezing on me so I had to find another puzzle.

I just love this puzzle. It was a real challenge in 111 Skewed. Once again I noticed the deep fog surrounding the mountains.

This is an eerie image to me. But there's sun in the background.

Aussie so sorry you are so hot, maybe it will cool down soon....I hope.Haven't heard much lately about the fires that you are having. Are they close to being out? You haven't been bothered by the smoke have you? Be safe my friend, stay cool and take care.

Have heard about your terrific heat. Way above average. We had the same thing this past summer here. Not sure what is happening, but stay in your air-conditioned room and stay cool.

Darambo - lots of fires in different States, burning out of control. The firemen are all volunteers and working so hard to save life and property. I pray that God will bless them all in a special way. Not smoke affected here. Hugs.

Aussie glad the smoke is not bothering you. All our wildland firefighters in Oregon, are private companies. Ed worked for one (even when we lived in California) for 10 years, he loved the work. I hated fire season, it was terrifying for Matt and I. He was an engine boss and on the front lines. One year he took some pics at the biggest fire in Oregon"s history and when I asked why he was so close to the trees that were burning, he replied " I wasn't close I was 10 feet away"!!!!! That fire was over 1 million acres. We were so glad when he stopped fighting fires, but the company still calls him every year to see if he will come back to work. My prayers for the firefighters safety and all other people affected by the fires. I imagine most of your fires have started because drought and high temps. We have a lot of trees that are infested with a type of beetle and many have died, so when we have lightning in the summer we have fires. Hope all will be safe and take care "sis".

Unfortunately one of the political parties put a stop to controlled burning and back burning and it has built up to the point that it has caused this inferno, that and sick arsonists. Much loss of property and lives which was totally unnecessary. Hugs darambo. Matt??

Aussie "Matt" is my son, Don't think I have ever mentioned him by name before. Usually call him Matthew. Picked his name because of the meaning and the fact that it took us 15 years and thousands of dollars and when we finally gave up, by a miracle we had him, so he was a gift from God. We have had the same problems with the controlled burns and build up of dead materials on the forest floor. We have started calling the controlled burns out of control burns, as several of them were started in windy conditions and got out of control and started major fires. The last arsonist we had in this area turned out to be a firefighter trying to drum up some work???? Can you believe that? Be safe and keep us informed about the fires....for some reason I have not been getting much info about them. Prayers for you all

Let me add my prayers to yours, darambo. I also pray that we find better wys to prevent those fires.
I have wanted to move to the southwest and finally saw a house I loved and could afford but when I checked the wildfire threat it was circled by areas of high threat so that was that. In fact comments by people in the area were "We live in fear." I am sorry you have not been able to move to an area without threat of wildfires.
Aussie my prayers include firefighters everywhere. It is heartbreaking to see the interviews of homeowners who have lost everything. They also get my prayers.

I think of you often, Aussie. The fires and ruined homes appear on almost every news program, making viewers very sad. I pray for your country and it's citizens. Stay as cool as you can, as oppressive heat can be a source of sickness.

We are getting temps in the 50's and 60's here in my part of VA. I am going to enjoy because I am sure it will not last much longer.

I had a good DR's report. My BP is finally coming down. But I can't stop peeling the skin from my arm. She did up my Prozac from 20 mg to 40. If that doesn't calm me down, then we will try something else. I will just sit here and pluck at it until I have to make myself stop bleeding. I have not done this in over 10 years. I need to go away and this view loooks like the perfect escape.
